This morning. Two things stood out to me.
Our linebackers stink!
First! They consistently don’t fit the right gaps to stop the run. When they do hit the gaps they don’t fill with authority and violence. DeShields/ Simon are soft. Kamara is reckless and undisciplined.
Pj OBrien is a disaster.
Our offense is painful to watch! We look slow, undisciplined ( pre snap penalties) and unable to make adjustments at the line of scrimmage. Over and over again we run directly into run blitzes that we were out manned to block.
The most depressing thing is our experienced offensive line got beat up against a defensive line from a lesser conference.
Kudos to Cincy. That program has been hand cuffed playing in a lesser conference yet has continued to win despite losing coaches and players. They continue to out perform programs like Pitt who have stability.
