We are in

Home on Thursday. No time yet, so assume the same time as the basketball game that night, just because.

I believe ESPN owns the broadcast rights so it wont be on TV unless they throw it on ACCN in the afternoon. So being that its likely not on TV, I think the NCAA will work with Pitt to coordinate a game time. I'm going to guess 5:00 and then fans can walk over to the basketball game.

What I found interesting is if we can beat Georgetown, we could either possibly host Louisville or South South Florida or go all the way to UC-Davis. Either way, that would be a winnable Sweet 16 match but Georgetown will be very tough in the Round of 32. A little upset we didn't draw Marshall or PSU (we owe them) in Round 2.

I love the draw. ! College Cup here we come!!

The ACC got 10 out of its 12 teams in which is a record. Ironically, the 2 teams that didn't make it (Duke and UNC) were both ranked in the Top 5 in the country this season. Just a ridiculously tough conference.
Unbelievable.

And unbelievable that those two schools are the ones that didn’t make it.

Have to wonder if we make a run here, how in demand Jay Vid will be.

And of course, its 7PM, a direct conflict with basketball. Neither game is televised. I would have tried to stagger the start times. Maybe move the basketball game to 7:30 or 8 if UAPB allows. I doubt ESPN would have cared.

You wouldn't have thought this would have been that hard to figure out, and yet apparently so. I for one would have loved to have gone to a Pitt doubleheader on Thursday, but alas, it is not to be.

Is Lehigh any good?

We've played one common opponent, Northwestern. Northwestern beat us 1-0 at a neutral site. Lehigh beat Northwestern 2-0 at Northwestern.

Lehigh lost to Georgetown at Georgetown 2-0. Their other losses were Wisconsin, Binghamton and Princeton. Their best win besides Northwestern (who was a middle of the pack B10 team) was probably Navy.

All the ACC games are on ACCNX. I think they shoulda threw one on ACCN at 4:30 but whatever. Ironically, the 2016 Pitt/VT football game is on at 3:30.

Lehigh has one of the best players to come through the wpial over the past several years. Josh Luchini is from north Allegheny and has won numerous individual awards since moving on to the college level. So it’s a homecoming for him.
