We aren't the only ones with attendance issues.. Turn on the FSU game

0-0 v South Florida, and the one endzone is 3/4 empty.. from a place that won the national title 2 years ago v an in-state opponent.
Attendance is now an issue for all Sports Teams especially CFB & the NFL! Dallas Cowboy's Jerry Jones mention he built the New Stadium t make sure Fans will want to come to the games in the face of growing streaming, better TV viewing, and the need to have Corporate Sponsors pay for much of the Games with high priced tickets, parking, and Taxpayers footing much of the costs.

Michigan prior Athletic Director before he wa sfired talked about why Michigan had to build Luxury Boxes and he too was worried about maintaining high attendance in this day of Millenniums preferring High Tech Phone, Ipad, and TV Streaming when they want to watch it, and not always during the games?

Penn State is encountering the same problems and rebellions over the Step Program and even tailgating is being restricted in favor of Stadium Food and Beverage Drinking where they can overcharge at great margins of profits. The Cost to pay for employees and vendors at Games keeps going up and bigger profits can be made from Cable Subscribers, Conference Networks, and TV Streaming!

Sure the Universities will have cycles of rising attendance after they start to win 10+ Games like UCLA, TCU, and Baylor or National Titles like FSU's Jimbo Fisher and OSU's Urban Meyer's has brought to their Programs but afterwards that can become common place? FSU did not sell out the South Florida Game after just 2 year removal from the NCS?

The Steelers made a change of coaching by dumping Chuck Noll once 10,000 No Shows started to disappear at Three Rivers Stadium even if Tickets were sold out! The Average Fans are starting to rebel against the high cost of tickets, parking, and eating, as well as the weather, traffic, and Fans behaviors and now Corporate Sponsors & Alumni Boosters Contributors are assuming higher cost for business reasons and taxpayer's are exactly happy of subsidizing Stadiums and other cost and that means eventually more governmental input sooner or later?

The crowd at the UNC sc game was very weak, in an NFL stadium. Blue seats do wonders in hiding this, bright yellow, not so much

In the age of umpteen games every day on every channel, the ability to DVR them if you miss them live, and 100" TVs with clarity better than live, combined with high ticket prices, higher PARKING prices, concessions, traffic, security hassles, et al ... why is anyone surprised at less overall attendance? And for those who want to counter with stats showing higher attendance, take the dubious nature of 'data' Pitt unashamedly puts out there and multiply by all the others.

It doesn't matter anyway, the meat is with the TV revenue, with conference and bowl money shares, with merchandise,
