64 points in the second half.

To put that into perspective, the all time Pitt record for points in a half is 69, also against Syracuse in 1970 in the game that Pitt scored the most points in school history, 127. Twice Pitt teams have scored 67 in a half, against BC and Providence less than two weeks apart in 1990.

That makes today the 4th highest scoring half in Pitt basketball history.

And it’s even crazier that they scored 96 in a game where they only had 4 or 5 points 10 minutes in.

Forget the points, or lack of with this team.
Once they get the intensity going they become
a whole different animal. Syracuse is smooth,
we on the other hand are aggressive, intense,
and mirror what Capel is pushing them to do.
I've said it before, this doesn't happen by
accident, it's the coach motivating his players

Pitt’s ball movement in the second half was really good against their zone. We picked it apart. Making threes opened it up even more.

Then getting the ball on defense and running the break also opened the game up.

Maybe it was partly Syracuse's doing, but it is not just the points we scored, but how we scored them. We executed half court offense, we ran the break to perfection. We drove, dished, mid range, 3's,

Watching a few highlights, one thing that is completely different from this team than any Pitt team before is X running and dishing at warp speed to guys like Champ and Toney who can finish.
