Yep - there are currently four undefeated teams left in FBS IN Alabama, UCF, Clemson and Notre Dame and only one team in America has faced three of them and of course that is Pitt. So if we could find a way to win one of the final two we should all be pleased with a eight win season. Yes six losses is just a step above mediocrity but with these opponents and some decent ACC wins it will be gauged as a nice season and a Divisionsal title as well. However with that being said we can't erase some momentum and positive publicity and recognition by ending the season on a three game losing streak and finish with seven losses. Knew once we lost to North Carolina that they game would come back to haunt us . Going into a championship with 8-4 sounds a heck of a lot better than 7-5. As Chris Peak stated in his podcast - that damn North Carolina game. Speculation about Mack Brown coming back and bringing with him Gene Chizik for DC and the ex TT coach as OC. For North Carolina.

IMO already did.

4 is a lot for even regular season....it is damn hard for college kids to ( not those going to Bama now) win every game on its schedule

You can look it up.

Indeed.

Hey, if we can win our bowl game, go 8-6 with that schedule, I will look back and take these three things away

1) eff UNC

2) we see how far of a talent disparity there likely will always be between us and Miami.

3) this team never quit on narduzzi.

A satisfying year, if we win the bowl game and a bonus would be to play well Saturday.

I don’t disagree....but the lack of competing well in 3 of the games is bothering me.

Then you are doing what anyone would be doing against a tough schedule. If you are competing well, it makes more of a point of where you stand

I think the only game we didnt compete well was UCF. Am I mistaken? Our defense did a pretty darn good job against Miami only giving up 17 points, and holding Miami to their lowest passing total in school history.

Against the peds we ran all over them and if we had their punter, and didnt try to alter the game plan in the second half from running all over them (ie, knowing now what we know about this team). Anyways, competed there as well.

UNC and ND you couldnt get more competitive, and except for a long out of bounds pass completion that the refs wouldnt let us challenge in time in the UNC game, and ridiculous calls and noncalls in the ND game we could have easily been the winner in each.

In any rate, we have a average at best team, and before the season we were predicted with 5 wins (which I bet on and won), and we over achieved and competed. We are heavily underdogs this week, and with good reason. And I have no doubt the coaches will have the team ready to play once again

PSU we quit, didnt compete after halftime, got crushed

Records are over rated. We are an team that lacks IT, what ever that is. We showed it this year by losing to UNC and UM, but at the same time beat Cuse and Duke, and killed Va Tech. Its a long season, wether it is immaturity, lack of talent, or lack of depth, we are not Ohio State. Teams like that have IT, and that will power them past 8 of the teams they play automatically, but they still lost to Purdue almost maryland, but then blew out Mich? Duzz is the man, and the kids play hard for him. One year at a time.

Is IT a code word for talent? Miami, UCF, ND, and PS have more talent. We did not play well at UNC, and we are not talented enough to beat other ACC teams when we don’t play well.
