We Will Not Win Again

this season! Deal with it!

5-11 in a bad league is actually worse than 3-15 in what was a pretty good year for the ACC. The league got 3 #1 seeds, 2 #4 seeds, and a #7 and #8. Unfortunately the league was so good at the top, nobody could beat those teams so more of those mid-tier ACC teams couldn't get in.

Our lack of a center is killing our chances. We have NO offensive presence down low and teams know this. Losing Hughley hurt imo.
I agree. I think we lose out but don't worry, the Capel defenders will find some excuses as to why he still is the answer here. 3 straight late season embarrassing collapses and his history of that happening at his other schools but hey, why not keep believing! His in game coaching stinks too.

Feel like I’ve heard this before?

It is a good thing we didn't play "The City Game", it would have really slowed down the progress of the program.

You already told us we wouldn't win again..........and then we did.

And now that you have said it again, you will likely be wrong again.

Playing a mediocre team to no benefit doesn’t help us

Were I the head coach in a city, I would do everything I could to promote the benefits of an education and participation in athletics to the kids and the community at large. The City Game causes a buzz around the City for a day or two. Pitt holds all the cards in this situation. When things get back to normal or near normal, have the game and have each school donate an allotment of the seats to youth league participants or PPS elementary kids . Everything in life does not have to benefit oneself to be of value.

P.S. What about all those other mediocre teams Pitt beat OOC?

Pps kids don’t care about Duquesne basketball

Hugley might have been a challenge and distraction. We need everyone on the same page. I just hope the kid gets his act together.

Lol you know not many but a few of you are such pricks. I'd use a stronger word but I don't want to get all worked up.

I realize you've blocked me so you won't see this anyway, but c'mon Poker. You are extremely outspoken (on both football and hoops boards) and have no problem calling people out for what you perceive to be incorrect views on Pitt sports. Perhaps you should be more prepared to encounter similar pushback to your views? Just a thought.

What’s funny is it wasn’t even a pushback on his views. I even said he has valid points. Just don’t need them rammed in to every thread and repeated over and over and over. He blocked me at one point too. Which who cares. But my only issue ever was this exactly. What recruits said. Beaten to death. Like an extended temper tantrum.

But you’re still correct in that he’ll go after others. Classic case of can give it but can’t take it. And he’s hyper sensitive. Almost had a breakdown when people got on him for his polls instead of just ignoring it.

So why does Florida State always have 2-3 seven foot plus guys from Europe or Africa and we always play them with some skinny 6-8 guys?

So really whoose coming in here without a bagman and instantly turning this program around in a few recruiting classes ?

First the powers to be won’t embrace this and second they won’t spend some extraordinary amount to lure anyone who could attract great players here . Plus I doubt that anyone like that would be interested in the job anyway .

For better or worse unless JC decides on his own to leave he’s here for at least another 3-4 yrs , he’ll be given enough time that there will be no question as to whether he was a good hire or not .

So if he turns it around you can enjoy the success as a fan of the program and if they’re not winning you can enjoy bashing the HC and Pitt athletics. Sounds like a win win for some of you .
