1) TCU, the #12 team in the country, gave up 500 yards and 41 points to the South Dakota State Jackrabbits. The Rabbits were runnin wild and scoring easily. Defense in the Big 12? LOL, there is no such thing.

2) Tennessee, the #9 team in the country, needed Overtime to beat App State. Tennessee had 300 yards of total offense including overtime. The Coach for App State lost the game

3) Michigan State, #11 team in the country, beat Furman 28-13. Sparty had 350 yards of offense.

4) Florida, #24 team in the country, beat Umass 24-7 with 320 yards of offense.

5) Wake Forest beat Tulane 7-6. Wake Forest had 170 yards of offense

6) Matt Canada- 250 yards against Villanova. Nate Peterman has an adjusted QBR of 23, and lost the shutout to Villanova with his fumble. Peterman scored more points for Villanova than the entire Villanova offense.

7) Penn State- I was expecting Penn State to score 60 in the first half against Kent State after reading how the Morehead Spread is an offensive genius and unstoppable. Instead Penn State's juggernaut offense scored 19 points against Kent State, the worst team in division 1 football, with the defense getting the other 14. Penn State fans lost all their money betting the spread and calling Vegas stupid, which made my day.

I was surprised how easy Kent State moved the ball on them at times. Too bad they were playing musical quarterbacks and the penalties really killed them when they would get the ball near the 20-30 yard line. Who would have thought the nits would have had to blitz, blitz and blitz against them to get things under control?

I'm thinking if Pitt gets the running lanes that Kent State had then our backs can gash them. Here's hoping the line plays the way the are capable of this week.

Honestly Penn State is probably lucky KSU's coach didn't play the good QB til the end of the game.
Not sure if they're blind or what.
I wonder if he'd consider to transfer to Pitt lol

That fumble will go down in Peterman's stat line, but I find it hard to blame him for it. The pass rusher wasn't to his blind side but I don't think the guy was even touched. Peterman was hit before he could set his damn feet

While Peterman didn't set the world on fire, the OL should be the center of attention fir the extreme number of 3 and ours yesterday.

Like Bob said, Miss St. losing has to be Top 2.

I agree I always enjoyed your posts until now. Off your rocker you are.

I vote Mississippi state as well

If KSU doesn't throw that pick freebee in third, which took the wind out of their sails, penn state would have been sweating that one out to the finish. The PSU oline is still soft on pass coverage. Another year, another PSU qb constantly under duress. Difference is this year the kid does not have a great arm.
