I thought this would be a fun weekend poll question for the lair. Yes the "hype" can mean a lot but I think you guys get the point.

Capel raved about him, numerous players said he was the best in practice. I mean, I'm hoping he is gonna be an Ashton Gibbs clone, that's how excited and hopeful I am.

So my answer is gonna be a debbie downer answer. I think Horton will be decent but I don't see him living up to all the hype about him. Sorry I don't. So I say No.

Have a good weekend.

It’s been awhile since Pitt has had a really potent offensive player and I’m going with both HCJC and X who’ve both have gone out of their way to tout IH abilities.

Voted yes. However, I don't know what living up to his hype really means. For me it just means having roughly the same offensive stats as McGowens did last season except for shooting the 3-ball at about 37-38% vs McGowens 31.1%. Doubt Horton shoots 40.9% as he did at Delaware (better defenders line further out now).

If he does the above, he won’t score more than about a half point more per game than McGowens scored but he will open up defenses for others on the team to score more.

I imagine he will be somewhere between. Most people barely live up to expectations, so not sure he can meet the super high expectations. However, I don't think he will be a bust either.

If he can generally match Trey's production, while perhaps doing it in a way that improves overall chemistry (offensive efficiency), I'll be thrilled.

My hype is only, a guy who shoots the 3 at a high 30 to low 40 %, at a pretty high volume, so if he does that then yes.
