Deion calls late start times 'stupidest thing ever'
Deion Sanders isn't the biggest fan of Colorado's late start times, calling them the "stupidest thing ever invented in life."
The thing is, the only way the east coast is watching PAC12 is to play late. Play earlier and everyone in the east and midwest are watching their own team or conference games.
That would suck, you'd have to start drinking at 7amHe prefers those 10 AM (local time) kickoffs they've had?
I think it’s less of a shot at Colorado and more of a shot at the Pac-12. He added that he’s glad they’re leaving for the Big 12 after this season because of the time slots (ironically, OU and UT mentioned those for why they left that same conference!).![]()

Colorado was an original Big 8 team back when geography mattered more than television money. They belong in the B12. This is one of the few recent conference realignment moves that makes sense.I think it’s less of a shot at Colorado and more of a shot at the Pac-12. Actually, with the Pac12 gone, TV will be filling those time slots with teams that reside further west.Yeah, he's going to give up PAC12 night games (and really, what's the angst over night games?) for Big 12 games that start at noon eastern, which is 10AM in Colorado.
So next year expect complaints about how many times they have to play games that start at 10AM rather than games that start at night.
Yup. I wish we were out here in Kansas City for the “OG” Big 12 MBB Tournament when them, Missouri, Nebraska, and Texas A&M were in it. Ironic that Coach Prime, doesn't like Prime TimeI like Prime but his complaining about 8PM is strange to me.
so the average start time of a local high school game is stupid...odd.![]()

So there's that.
Seems likely, depending on the quality of the game.I expect the ACC is going to get a lot of 10:00 eastern Stanford and Cal kickoffs.
They could, and probably will, play some ACC Network quadruple headers, 12:00, 3:30, 7:00, 10:30.
