West Virginia Game

Is Hugley for sure not playing? How about Tre Mitchell? Will his parents allow him to enter Allegheny County? BballinsiderfromPitt always said Pitt was not an option because it was too close to the rugged, mean streets of his hometown Elizabeth, PA. Morgantown is 42 miles further away so obviously Tre cant sneak out to look for trouble in Elizabeth.

I dont see Pitt winning this without Hugley and surprised the spread is this close.

I thought Hugely was supposed to be back? Also isn’t WVU expected to be a bottom team in their conference?

Bring it on

Similar to Pitt, WV is trying to mesh together a bunch of older transfers so these are two teams still figuring out their identity.

Stevenson is a well-traveled pain in the ass, but he is a guy to watch out for. Emmitt Matthews gave us trouble in his first stint at WVU as I recall. He’s a bit of a do-it-all wing that can get streaky hot from 3. Lastly, we’ll see how much they work Mitchell in tonight. When he is going, he’s just a tough guy to matchup with so id love to see Pitt get physical with him when he’s on the floor as that’s not his game.

WV -2 sounds about right going in, but this is a game Pitt should believe they can win at home. There should be enough of a veteran presence that they won’t get flustered when WVU turns up the pressure and hopefully a nice crowd can provide them a spark

For What it is Worth---Huggins (per PSN) believes Hugley will play. Sagarin updated with yesterday's games now has West Virginia by about 3 points and gives them a 59% chance of winning.
