Let's hope they honor their LOI and become Panthers. May depend on who the new coach is. When Jim Christian bolted to Boston College from Ohio University not one of his recruits honored their commitment.
I would like to think they signed with the school and not Jamie.

With a major splash hire this class could be the beginning of glory days at PITT.

Most kids will wait to see who the new coach is. NO kid is going to want to sit out a year unless the new coach is a dud. Also its not like FB where the system has a huge impact on a kids choice (ie pro QB vs running spread kid)

My gut tells me that if he likes Pitt's new head coach enough he'll stay, because Smoke is going to be at a low level DI school when this ends.

I would think they will. It's a bad look otherwise. Like Dixon, no sense keeping them here if they don't wanna be here.

Pitt won't release anyone until the new coach is hired. No need to worry. If they get it right they'll not need to worry about it unless the new coach doesn't want them - or unless they totally botch the hire.

It is pretty telling that none of these recruits mentioned they wanted to follow Dixon. They seem more concerned about Smoke and BK. No mention of Barton either - absolutely shocking.

Or it could be the fact that it's in a completely different part of the country on an absolute dumpster fire of a team. Quit llooking for reasons to crap on Dixon. He's gone - isn't that enough? You should be happy.
