What is going on with the Syria Mosque site?

Has to be part of the Institution Master Plan. Updated one not coming till Aug 2018 I think.

Shhhh. They finally listened to the six people on this board: They're moving the basketball team down there, tearing down The Pete and rebuilding Pitt Stadium. But don't tell anyone. :)

Anything less than bringing back the Syria Mosque is abject failure

Saw Frank Zappa twice 84 and 88

Missing Persons once in 1984

Great place for a show

I've seen just about every show mentioned here. The two most memorable though were a Gregg Allman solo concert where he did two encores. We were in the second balcony, by the time we got downstairs he came out a third time alone with an acoustic guitar. He sat on the edge of the stage and played a few songs for about 20 of us still in the building.

The other was the Doobie Brothers, we thought the opening act was good too. Some piano player we thought was named Billy Joe, was actually Billy Joel long before he became famous.

Almost forgot David Bowie's Diamond Dogs tour. A friend and I were wearing jeans and t shirts and felt completely out of place. Everyone else was covered in glitter.

Another good one was Jim Croce. He was on the same bill as George Carlin and I remember thinking that Croce's stories between songs were even funnier than Carlin's jokes.

Bowie on Diamond dogs would have been great ... Cozy Powell was a great drummer as well like his playing every bit as much as Carl Palmer... I still have my copy of Rainbows Down to Earth album and Powell was great on that
