Comcast guide says PSU/Rutgers or Pitt/Iowa. We are getting Pitt in Allegheny county yes?

I was just going to ask about this.

The Johnstown Panther Club would like to host a game watch for Saturday's game. Our cable system, Atlantic Broadband, only has the basic BTN. I did find a venue that has DIRECTV. Does anyone know if the game will be available on the basic DIRECTV package? Thanks.

As of right now, the DirecTV channel guide does not show Pitt/Iowa on an alternate channel even though I'm certain it will be on one of them. BTN also had two games at 8 pm last night FWIW.

I believe you need the dtv sports pack to get the b10 network and it's alt.channels.

I have FiOS. Big 10 network will be showing Sandusky vs. Home intruders but there are 2 other non HD channels. CH. 330 and 331, hope to hell Pitt is on one of these.

You do not need the Sports Pack to get ch.610 (BTN) on DirecTV. I don't have the Sports Pack and I just turned on 610 to see if I got it and the BTN is on with no problems. But not sure about the other BTN alternate channels (610-1, 610-2, 610-3) as nothing is showing for the Pitt-Iowa game on Saturday, the UPS-RU game IS listed for the 610 BTN channel.

Ok...But I'm sure it's only available on certain packages. We probably wont see what exact channel the game will be on until late next week, if not Saturday itself.Maybe one of the college sports tv schedule websites will have some info? How's espn college extra so far? Unless they make it available in sd I'll have to upgrade at least one my recievers to hd to get it.

How is that possible?
They have "sub" channels that are used....not sure of the tech. I had O$U on one, Buttgers on the other. When one ended, they switched to the other. At least I think I have the channels right. It's been discussed her for a week.

I think it would actually be channels 610 and 610-1, but yeah, that's the idea. Next Saturday won't be the first time they've done it and it won't be the last.

Later in the week go to this page. If you have dish, direct tv, AT&T uverse ot fios they will list the channel. If you have cable just put your zip code in and pick your provider. Don't rely on on screen guides or TV guides. They are often wrong.

I saw that, now I'm sure I won't get it. Living in Maryland now B1G Country, so I'm sure I'll be stuck with PSU! Sucks

I'm assuming one of these for Comcast here:
72 Big Ten Network
471 Big Ten Network Overflow
472 Big Ten Network Overflow
855 Big Ten Network HD

We've been told it will be on BTN's "Extra Football Game Channels" and BTN2Go
We've been informed it will be in HD!
@PittBorghetti

I didn't see the big ten overflow in my list of channels on Saturday. I went and looked and saw nothing. I have comcast but I guess they don't carry them anymore in central pa. I guess app is where it is at

On my Comcast, Baltimore County, BTN has 3 channels, 713, 714 and 715, but it's ridiculous, all 3 always show the same thing, 24/7/365... you heard that right, if Penn State/Rutgers is on 713, it's also on 714 and 715 too.

Supposedly BTN alternate channel is Pitt game. PSU/Rutgers on main channel because it's two Big Ten teams but could not have picked a worse game. But whatever I'll take the alternate channel hope it actually is on there, I can't take another week of ESPN3!

According to this, the game will be on DIRECTV channel 610-1 and Comcast XFINITY channel 470. Thanks.

I can't believe it...third game in a row that Armstrong cable in Cranberry Twp will not be showing the local University football game that plays in the Power 5 ACC. It is official, Slippery Rock and Robert Morris have played more televised games this year than Pitt in my area.

Maybe I'm wrong? For the 1st time ever, I see both listings side by side, Pitt on 714, Penn State on 715, I hope it really happens, I've set my DVR for 714.

If you include the WPIAL Championship game on Root, Central and Pine Richland will have played more games in HD in Pittsburgh than pitt. Of course I am assuming that Central and PR play in the championship game..

Tell your cable provider you want the BIG TEN network added to your package or you are going to switch cable companies. If enough people put the pressure on to have the BTN added (which will also increase your bill), then they will carry it.

Armstrong couldn't do anything with the first two games being on ESPN3.
