It’s was distinctly noticeable… the announcers talked about it… even said Bates was asked if he was “comfortable” not blitzing ( whatever that means) but it became apparent early very early it was a horrible strategy…

So what the hell was that all about??

Might have something to do with the fact that every time they've called a blitz over the past month, the other team has scored an easy TD.

Well they had less problems scoring today by not mixing in some blitzes to at the very least rattle the QB if nothing else… seems extreme to go all in or all out…

Kind of like our offensive game plan…

Like going for it twice on 4th and 2 near midfield and not making it either time

Yeah, that was a head scratcher. There were several times throughout the game that I thought the same thing.

Pitt needs the DL front 4 to step up and put pressure on the quarterback. When you blitz it all the time it puts pressure on the DBs the LBS aren't dropping to help out and you have an open space there. Might have been Louisville's speed at rd and wr. The DL needs to get up field on passing downs to help out the pass defense. Fitz might be the player next season or look to the portal for a pass rusher. Fix the OL first.
