I would allow the Big XII to poach some of my bottom half remaining.
I would let Colorado & Arizona (maybe 2 more) bolt for the Big XII.
Then, get a short term contract with low buyouts. I would split relatively the same amount of TV money for the remaining 6-8 athletic departments (meaning more money per team each year). Then, I would add San Diego State + SMU/UNLV/Boise State/Fresno State at a reduced rate.
Whenever the Big 10 invites came, I would be quickly out the door.
This also simultaneously blocks the ACC/ESPN from getting any sort of lucrative longer term arrangement with the PAC-12.
(Speculative: I think this might’ve been the future Big 10 invitees plan all along after the departure of USC & UCLA.)
