What's the deal with Karamo Dioubate?

Wow now that is a big gap as far as schools.....

and I am not saying Temple is awful anymore
No, they're not. But that is still one of the most bizarre final 2 I've ever seen. South Carolina was pretty damn bad last year and Temple had a pretty good season, but SEC vs. a G5 program is still a huge drop off as far as recruiting is concerned.

Isn't Temple close to his home?

I'm not positive, but I think so. Believe me, I really don't think PSU has all that much to offer. Even with losing to Temple though last season, I find it hard to believe a kid doesn't want to go to PSU yet has Temple in his final 2. I like it though lol.

He's staying home to Temple and it's a family situation. He signs tonight at 6pm.

Wow! Thought he was a surefire, lead pipe cinch for the nitters? Did something happen that made so many nit commits run away from State College like it's radioactive - like Chernobyl or something? o_O

If you look it was a perfect storm. Dwumfor, Karomo staying home, Pryts as well, Hill at home with brother so that's 2 brother situations right there. Hudson should have been accepted. Hamlin was never leaving Pittsburgh. All in all a very good class and it fit a lot of needs. We lost Colon because of discipline issues.

Honestly there was more buzz throughout Philly last year for that Halloween Temple-Notre Dame game with ESPN Gameday visiting than there ever was for a Pitt game in my memory. It was pretty exciting. The atmosphere reminded me of when the Eagles or Phillies are in the playoffs. The media was their biggest cheerleaders. Made me wish the Pittsburgh media got behind Pitt like that. If they can keep winning, they will draw fans and the media will help the program along.

Campus is in the middle of doing a 180 and the neighborhoods where Temple students tend to live (Manayunk, East Falls, Center City and its adjacent neighborhoods) are very lively. I would not be surprised to see Temple get some good recruits. How are the other AAC teams recruiting?

after Shoop left Pryts started looking around

Many players have. Only 25 signees per year. We have a number of players that chose Penn State over Stanford.

Probably recruits in the IQ first three ranges. What other explanation could there be for a choice like that?

Nothing like dumbing down a thread with trash for no good reason. This year alone Menet and McGovern had offers from Stanford. I'm sure they're dumb as well? John Urschel of the Ravens will enter MIT this summer for his PhD. Dumb as well I suppose?

If I'm not mistaken some kid chose Central Florida over psu today as well. Overall psu had a good class but they did not finish strong by any means.

He has now.

Skill and courage win the fight . . . Fight, Temple, fight!

Temple - I thought it was interesting that when PSU was scrambling near the end and signed one of Temple's WR commits, Temple then turned around and signed another WR (Wright) who had better offers than the first kid - offers that according to Rivals included BC, Maryland, Ohio State, Rutgers and Syracuse.

I think I'll be rooting for Temple this year.

Go Pitt.

Pryts had been to Stanford prior to Shoop leaving. He always had an interest.
Interest doesn't mean flipping. Hell, if I was a recruit I'd have an interest in Stanford too. Great school and program. Shoop to Tennessee sealed the deal.

He was an hour late to his own announcement, they said he had a flat tire but still that's pretty unusual

Reportedly, Alabama swooped in with a last-minute offer. I guess Saban's arrogant enough to think he can do something like that and sway a kid. I'd have told him to stick it. ("You mean NOW I'm good enough for you?").
