Where is Big Red now?

sitting in a chair, face buried in his hands, shaking his head, wondering why the hell he is the one getting all of the heat when he is the one that did the right thing..
that sucks IMHO big time, he did the right thing and cannot get hired yet Schiano and Bradley are making coin and denying everything when they are just as much in the know as he was

yep, he screwed himself and ruined his career for bringing this to light. Schiano and Bradley deny everything and they are sitting pretty with their careers. People wont touch mcqueary with a 20' pole..

That is why he needs to make a movie, write a tell all book, or both. He can reveal all the skeletons since he lived in State College his whole life.

as an aside because I didn't really follow his career path, was he a good coach/recruiter?

no clue. think he was wr coach and recruiting coordinator. Some pretty decent Wrs in his time and psu recruited well when he was there. Moye was good in college, Williams and norwood i think were under him. No clue how much he played a part in that.

With a good New York PR agency, they might actually make him out to be a hero/martyr in the mess. He'd have nothing to lose by pursuing that path.
Did he get a degree? Here's a novel idea, get a job in his field?
Why does it have to be football?
Change his name, dye his hair, and get on with his life's work.

On second thought, he'll get more in his PSU payoff to shut up and go away than he could earn in a lifetime.
He'll be basking in the sun on a tropical island like he's in the witness protection program. Like Kathleen Turner in Body Heat!

KT in body heat was awesome. She's fantastic in Romancing the Stone too.. At the top of her game, she was unbeatable..

McQueary really took a lot of crap. There was a "Saturday's Down South" recap of a bowl game right before all heck broke loose that actually sympathized with Red because Joe appeared confused and spend a lot of time yelling at MM. Ironically, Joe, in his own GJ testimony is the one that mentioned MM. From their, Red's courage has been questioned (for not physically intervening) to being cast as a liar.

I think the absolute saddest part about that incident is that the victim was never identified (at the time) and no one bothered to make sure the child was okay. Regardless if anyone believed the story. To me that is the saddest and sickest part of this saga.

He half did the right thing, which given that crew is saying a lot.

The whole relationship between him and Paterno was bizarre, almost every game you saw Paterno ripping his head off on the sideline, it was like THAT was his job, to be the guy that Paterno could scream at while everyone else was doing the actual coaching.

We actually saw him about a year ago at one of the big annual things up that way, he is a tall guy and the red hair, you could just see heads turning as he moved around. Lost his marriage over it, too.

Take your political nonsense to the appropriate board.
tell that to @gbgpanther I gave my condolences to MM.. he didn't handle it well but at least he tried something, and is the bad guy here. While trash like Bradley and schiano move up the ranks because they had their head in the sand..

I'm not outraged at all. I am amused. I honestly laughed out loud when I read this post.
I'd hope so.. silly to be outraged by another person's political opinions. Silly to be outraged by any person's opinions on any matters.. Way to not let an anonymous poster's feelings make you outraged. Find it weird when people let others bother them so much..

We need more laughter on this board..

He had to stand by JoePa every game and get screamed at, regardless if a poor play happened on offense, defense, or special teams. He was the whipping boy. Now I see why. I think he wore Joe's headphones, since Joe never wore any!

McQueary is in hiding behind Bellefonte Lanes after having a PFA filed against Franco and his cutout Joepa.

You're ALL wrong.

He's hiding in the depths of the Susquehanna River with Ray Gricar.

What was Joe always yelling? "I told you to lie to those investigators. You idiot!"
