Where is Ollison?

I don't get it.

I agree. Conner is a great back, but Pitt still runs the ball well with Ollison. I think they gave up on the running game a bit too early. Now at the point where they will have to throw. That makes it tough.

It's not that we gave up the running game too early. It's just that's Chaney insists for whatever reason to unnecessarily keep changing up the sets, formations and schemes that we are running behind. We were doing our best work with Jaymar Parrish in and Ollison running behind him out of an offset I with Peterman under center. Instead of staying with it we were changing up the sets and personnel constantly and arbitrarily. Running the ball on second and forever is also a really good way to ensure a 3 and out. My favorite was when we ended up in a 2nd and 18 due to a holding call only to run that short side pitch for like a 3 yard gain, setting up a 3rd and a half marathon on a crucial drive that died at midfield. there is no flow to this offense, no creativity, plenty of predictability -'d a failure to make the best use of the personnel we do have. It's a dud.

I don't get it either!

Look, none of these backs are going to make me forget Conner, but there is no reason why James should be getting more carries than Ollison. I'm guessing Ollison isn't impressing in practice??

He started the game and played the whole first quarter, so that's not it.

Maybe he tweaked himself at some point tonight.

YES....It's almost as if you were reading the text messages I was sending my brother

Narduzzi did not look happy with him on the sidelines.

Chaney takes forever to get a play in and then he calls plays that have a very low percentage of being successful - Like the 2nd and 18 run to the short side of the field you mentioned above... virtually impossible for that play to have yielded more than 3 or so yards.

Chaney was the one coach I posted about (several times) prior to the season as someone who concerned me as a hire. Specifically, I was haunted by how many Arkansas fans mentioned in their posts that his play calling left them scratching their heads all of the time. That he'll call plays at crucial moments that just don't make any sense for the particular situation (down and yardage and time remaining).

This poor offensive performance was unacceptable.

Absolutely could not believe he was not in there after that blocked punt....Incompetent Wanny and boring Chryst would have had him in there, but hey, that was before the culture change....

I didn't get it either. Oillison looked good early and then they went away from him. I was optimistic after he took the pitch for about 10 in the 3rd. But he didn't see much action after that point. A little more Ollison early on and we may have worn them down for the 2nd half.

Yo, bro
This is your team
You are in charge of , well, everything.
Do not answer questions about where was Ollie by telling the reporter to ask the OC

Other than that ....good luck down the stretch
Spot on

I hate to tell Narduzzi and everyone I told you so but, Chaney is hurting this team. I've been saying it all year. Just way too many moments where you're thinking, "what in the hell is going through this guy's head right now?"

Ollison was benched for missing a block on the third and short missed block.. Fact !

Yes and then it was said Chaney was verbally getting into Ollison's face about it. I have no problem with Narduzzi doing that to Chaney, he's a grown man that gets paid. You don't do that to a 19 year old kid that's killing himself to help them win the game.

Think about that statement from Chaney's perspective. Misses a block on 3rd and short. Why is he blocking and not getting the ball? On top of that, he misses one block and doesn't play the rest of the game, then older guys make mistakes play after play and are given way more chances.

Chaney is a joke. His play calling is terrible, but I've held out hope that it will get better. You just don't flip out on a college kid for one missed assignment. Unacceptable when you consider people were saying Narduzzi was in the wrong.
