Steel Curtain bleeds, burns, and loves Pitt Football, if Pitt had 80,000 Fans like him, they would win a National Titles every 4 to 5 years?
They would be Penn State without the rape. I don't want a culture where the fanbase doesn't have the mental ability to identify it's own weaknesses and talk about them.
Regardless of opinions of Steel, he made some huge predictions and was challenging people all over the place. I found it very entertaining. I hope he comes back to this board.

I think you have two steel curtains confused....steel curtain 55 is more level headed and knows his stuff for the most part esp. the OL and DL.......the steel curtain that posted here was batsh!t crazy but in a pro-Pitt everything is awesome way
Exactly. Bama, OSU and the rest of the national top 10-25 that are actively recruiting him seem really concerned about that. But what do they know.
He really shouldn't get so much credit for being Mr. Extreme Pro-Pitt. He shamelessly trashed several of our players, unfairly in most cases, and bashed recruits that we are actively pursuing without knowing jack $hit about them other than their listed measurables and with no regard to what our coaches, and other highly qualified evaluators think of them.. His predictions and challenges were purely moronic. He contributed nothing worthwhile to the discussion, hopefully he stays away but I think we've all seen this movie before.
Not even close nor fair comparison about Steel Curtain and his views on how Pitt football can become better within the NCAA Rules, Compliance's, and how other programs can win without becoming a SMU, Penn State, and Baylor Football Scandals!
It is unfair to College Football Programs that can support their Programs, Players, Teams, Coaches and University without accepting silence, cover ups, and violations of Institutional Control, NCAA Rules or Societal Laws.
Steel Curtain has not advocated in any way such policies, preference of winning, and only talks about Pitt Football as he sees them in practice, on the field, and his predictions on how he thinks they will win this year.
Steel Curtain from all I read on his posts on only on Pitt and College Football Topics on Competition. I don't always agree with his views either, but he he is not a blind devotee of Pitt Football Winning at any costs. Just my view and defense of him, without agreeing with all his Posts on Pitt Players, fFrmations, Recruiting, Plays, Strengths and Weaknesses just on the GridIron in coming Games!
I've read enough of his bunk to know one thing for certain- he doesn't know what he's talking about.
Agree, and this is much fair criticism and response to Steel curtain Posts and why other Posters like you can disagree with his views. I don't disagree with how you describe his Posts on Pitt & College Football. Steel Curtain may be a Zealot on what he believes and all can agree and disagree as anyone can and should, but he is not an enabler of winning at all costs in disregard of rules.
The Lair and Poster always benefit from diverse views and you and many other Great posters that talk Football, and provide alternative views are here to share and learn too on CFB, Pitt FB, and other aspects!
This is how I see it, and enjoy reading what you Posters like you and Steel Curtain debate or agree, or disagree upon and contribute to many relevant College football topics, and that includes criticisms and praises of Coaches, Players, Programs and Universities, just like Sports Media and Blogs that can evaluate and come and go every day on such Topics.

I was responding to your earlier Post before you put this one up, and it agrees with your views that you are honest to take on by all Posters on all subjects on Pitt Football. You have corrected my own views and errors on the Lair, and I appreciate such alternative postings that may or may not change my own views.
it is a joy to learn from others, and bigger joy to admit and salute to another poster that changes another mind, corrects mistakes, and debates all aspects of CFB. It is up to decide how one accepts that kind criticisms and I am not defending Steel curtain on that aspect. Steel Curtain has to defend his own views not me.
Still, Steel Curtain still talks Football and sometime his zeal and passion does go too low, but that is on a post by post basis and we have plenty like yourself on the Lair that differ and that often makes it it even better.
Agree and thank you for making those comparisons and straitening those differences out and your comments are fair, informative as well as descriptive in differences!
That is how I read it, and we have plenty others that took him on with challenging his views, criticisms, praise, and predictions. Up to Steel Curtain to defend his positions and others can agree with disagree, and that is why it is called rivals. It is just Football Topics on Sports nothing more and all can judge the posts on those topics.

Only if the University puts that ahead of Institutional Control, there have been National Champions without later follow up NCAA Sanctions.

I don't agree with all of Steel Curtain's posts nor will explain them either.
Others have done a good job doing that and they were on Pitt FB Topics, one that posts can defend their posts. I just like reading the discussion on Pitt FB and ignored any I did not agree with it nor had an interests in responding. Just know he loves Pitt FB and talking about it.
It's probably safe to assume that few of us actually know what we're talking about. Some just speak more passionately or have more time on their hands.
I am not sure either but if you really read in between the lines, I just might think he likes him
-I have not gone anywhere. I simply have chosen not to post in some time. The Pens won the cup when I told everyone they would months before it happened and the playoffs even started. Its in writing unedited on the main college football forum when I said I challenge anyone to beat the Pens once the playoffs start. Pitt football is coming. The prediction has never changed. 8 wins minimum, and James Conner trainwrecks multiple defenses. See you all Sept. 3rd.
