It sure looks to me like Pitt would have been much better off giving Dixon money to hire the recruiters he did at TCU instead of paying Stallings for 2 years, plus whatever buyout he got. He tried to bring in a bunch of guys and never had enough $$$ to hire them.

There was no trouble recruiting at TCU once he hired more expensive assistants.

Good chance Dixon takes that last Young and Artis team to a tournament and is still winning here.

I still credit JD with the Kithcart class maybe with better recruiters this class never happens !

Ps .. I still get a queasy feeling when I think about his last game here , will never understand sitting Luther
