Saw where mike mccreay (sp) case is going to trial on the 17th of Oct in centre county.
Isn't it amazing that a Kane was accused, tried, and convicted in lest time than the 3 stoogies?

Someone is really fighting to keep this out of the courtroom!

This is 100% true.

Kane ran on going after Corbett's handling of the Sandusky grand jury. She had too many bones to pick and went after Frank Fina in the Philly DA office. Too many powerful people connected to that office to be fooling around there. There's still something big to hide and this is at least tacit proof that bad things need to be kept from ever seeing the light of day. Until someone really goes deep into Jerry's Second Mile charity, it will be more of the same.

So far as Mikey is concerned, Penn State has been desperately trying to get this case delayed until after the three stooges see their day in court (been several years but Kane was fried in half the time for much less). A little awkward for Dear Old State because they'd have to talk from both sides of their mouth and contradict Freeh a little to have a chance (my guess anyway).

This one could get fun if it plays out but I doubt anything real will come of it. I'd lay money on a settlement with undisclosed terms including silence for a few years. Bet Mikey has a book deal laying in wait somewhere, though.

What PSU was doing was attempting to keep this case (brought by Big Red against the university) out of court until the trials of the Three Stooges. The judge, citing on-going economic damage to Big Red, voided PSU's stance and said that the trial must proceed regardless the disposition of the big trials.

How that plays out remains to be seen - but one can only assume that PSU senses that Big Red's case will, at a minimum, complicate their position as defendant. Was that because they believe the main show (Spanier/Schultz/Curley) will obviate the McQuery case? I doubt that the university was hoping to hold-off this trial in order to improve the odds of their former employee's winning their trials... hell, Spanier is suing PSU, too.

To those that contend that much of the dirt that exists in this mess will always be covered up because of the powerful forces that want it to be so: I doubt it. Now, I'm not naïve enough to know that bad crap gets swept under rugs in the judicial system. BUT!! This case has such high profile nationally that even this shamefully corrupt backwater commonwealth can't hide the explosively dirty facts that most of us believe - with good cause - are hiding just below the surface.

Beat me to it, just saying, I see this being settled at the right time, and just before it all begins at Pre-Trial Motions. A Sealed Confidential Settlement as well. McQueary has a gaming problem if his Lawyer is smart it will be an Annuity Settlement, One Lump Sum, could go away Fast, unless Big Red go some help during his exile time from We Are Penn State?

McQueary told the Truth but now is the biggest Nittany Liar of them all as described by the BWI Nittany Liars Cult Worshiping at the Memorial Shrine of the Secrecy, Silence, and Scandal looking for a Statue Shadow that Shamed Penn State Name with mutual participation of protecting Profits over People for an Ego Driven 409!

and beg for a plea deal prior to the start of the trial.

Smart Lawyer's delay this type of Trial as a strategic tactic and I knew a Person once falsely accused of such Abuse and he had an excellent Attorney that delayed the Trial for 13 years and won the Case. Unfortunately, he never regained his name, job, or reputation back. If it ever happens you, or a your family or friend and they are innocent you would expect the same rights to defend yourself or your loved one, but that is why we all have Constitutional Rights.

They apply to all of us and to stop, prove, or find someone Guilty or Not Guilty at any Trial. The Penn State Three have Rights too and very good Attorneys too, paid right now by Insurance of Penn State under dispute.

There is no problem for such delays keeping in mind how long Victim Voices were ignored, then alleged covered-up, sealed, then unsealed, Sloppy Slow Investigation with Grand Jury Illegal Leaks, PAOAG Elections, Judicial Scandals & Elections, Counts and Charges dropped, New AG that discovered erased Email & Porno, Convicted of her own Grand Jury Leaks, the first Judge be removed due to a Brain Tumor, and Appeal Decisions now before Higher Courts.

Finally, Judges, Juries, and Lawyers will deal with the remaining Criminal & Civil Lawsuits, and Sandusky Post Conviction Relief Appeal and like someone told me a long time ago, get into the Judicial process, get ready for a long drawn haul of delays, decisions, and yearly not monthly outcomes. I can wait for many people put their time in this process and let the Trials & Lawsuits play out?

In the meantime, Penn State University put in the Penn State University Policies 2012 Reforms and Penn State Football Errors Past can move on without impact by Sanctions on Penn State University anymore.

I Am Whom I Am, and I am not disagreeing with you just augmenting your posts and glad you post and share on the Lair! Dismissals or Pleads to Misdemeanors can still happen under a New AG, so you are by no means wrong.

It is by far The Worse Scandal In College Football History and I mean far above SMU's Death Penalty, USC Reggie Bush, and others before them. It was not the just the Criminal Crimes of PSU's Sandusky did to Children.

It is how much it exposed how Penn State University had Lack of Institutional Control over its own Program and chose to Protect Wins over the Voices of Victim's to achieve a 409 Empire of Dirt Legacy that Shames Penn State Name if it is ever mention!

No one can erase and no man or coach that died can write his history, Sara Ganim & Media will do that with far more trustful fairness, not slogans and mythical deity comparisons?
