Who are the real Pitt Fans? I really want to know?

Maybe if the mods did it, we wouldn't have a bunch of posters running around like George Zimmerman, playing community watch police, making false accusations about who is or who isn't a Pitt fan with no proof.

It is funny to some extent, being accused of going "deep cover" for a decade, making several thousand posts on a message board to try to trick people into thinking you're a Pitt fan, to "control the narrative" in favor of Penn State and JoePa! Wow, just wow! Is what I'd say to anyone that could possibly believe that!

But please, take your tin foil hats off and get real, it's also gets really repetitive and irritating hearing these jerkoffs make repeated accusations! Opinions are just as valid whether you "support" the team or not, you don't need to PAY MONEY to have your words be valid. I don't even think I bitch at all, I criticize things I think are done wrong, as you see, I haven't been "criticizing" so much with Narduzzi, because I am in agreement with most of you that he is doing a good job. I support as a fan, I watch every game, beginning to end even if "trashed". But, if I go in person, it has to be a party or what's the use of making the extra effort.

And yes, to each his own. I honestly don't enjoy driving enough to get up early to just barely make it to a noon game. So I won't be at the ND game, I had thought about it, if it had been a night game I was ready to do it. My daughter's team plays at 11:30 am that day, so I could of made it, had the game been 8:00 pm or even 6:00 pm. as it stands, Pitt will probably play ND like 20 times before I die hopefully, but after 2-3 years, my daughter will be out of high school and I won't have her games to watch anymore most likely. I'm about 90% sure I'll be there for Miami! Honestly, I hope they give us a later game and not Noon! Either way I plan to be there on Thursday, but later is better IMO.

I call bs here. You constantly cry that pitt doesn't do things on the dirty. You have at points basically advocated cheated. I don't agree with that, but it is your opinion.

That said, college athletics is an area where you can throw your money behind that cause. If you don't donate, then imo in this case you lose every right to complain.

Let me ask you, do you have children? Do you put Pitt games above your children? If you do, I find that sad. Pitt will probably play another 20 games or more vs. ND before I die. My little girl will be out of high school in 4 years and I likely won't be watching her play anymore after that. I do watch every minute of every game, even the ones that I have conflicts with, like if I am not home for these noon games, I watch them later that evening on DVR. It's easy to avoid a Pitt score in Baltimore. And if what I do isn't a "real Pitt fan" then I'm sure Pitt has very, very, very few fans in this world, because what I do, as far as watching the team and following the news and discussing, is probably way beyond what 90% of the fans do. As for posting, I can post at any time day or night, I can decide not to post at times that would conflict to some important little girls soccer game.

But according to a lot of other fan bases, including Steeler and PoSU fans it is someone who is such a total fanatic of that team that they are willing to go above and beyond making a total ass of themselves in front of everyone in the stadium and on television and puts that team at the top of a priority list which includes family, finances and job.

By the way, I am a Pitt fan. At least I think so. I go to every game I can and when I was in the military I went to games that were close, like Texas A&M a few years back. But I will never put Pitt above my family because I'm sure Pitt won't be there to take care of my family if something were to happen to me. I didn't put the Army above my family either. I served and did my duty the best I could, but even then my family came first, which is why I'm a civilian now. I was raised without a father and I wasn't going to let my sons be raised the same way.
