Why Aaron Donald is the Best Interior D-Lineman in NFL History -- Baldy Breakdowns on NFL's channel

Great 8-minute video on the NFL's Youtube channel breaking down why AD is the best interior DL in NFL history: LINK
Very nicely done. But there was one DL that combined the strength, speed and quickness of Donald and he played 50 years ago. Joe Greene was essentially the same player as AD in his first 6 years. the problem was no one got to see him play until his 5th year when the restrictions against televising home games was lifted in 1973. The Greene we all got to watch every week after the first Super Bowl win was actually a diminished Joe Greene due to a chronic pinched nerve in his left shoulder. So I will call Greene number 1A and Donald 1B. Still pretty good company.

The video was great to watch. You have to see AD in super-slow motion like this because he's so damned fast off the ball. In some of those clips, he was up and out of his stance before the LG, which is truly astounding.

The other impressive thing in the video was his proliferation of moves. Swim, grab/swim, speed, power. Donald has it all. He was routinely beating double and triple teams. Just unbelievable film.

I always dislike these GOT evaluations on a guy that has only been playing a few years. If AD had a career altering/ending type injury, he'd be compared to Gabe Rivera.
Nonsense. Senor Sack played how many games?

Reggie was primarily a 5/9 Tech but he occasionally played inside.

The closest thing to ad is John randle. AD is superior to him.

We went to the cool clinic in Ohio this spring and the college and pro coaches are interested to see if more teams block ad like the patriots did. It's the only game I've seen AD get handled for the majority of the game.

Yikes! You kidding? Gabe played 6 NFL games and receded 2 sacks.

AD is a 5 time Pro Bowl selection, 2 time NFL defensive player of the year, Rookie if the Year, lead the NFL in sacks in 2018.

Even if Gabe hadn’t had that tragedy, it’s hard to believe he’d have accomplished what AD has already.
