Why are some of you celebrating this loss?

It's a celebration of another coaching staff that plays not to lose. Not sure how much more I can take of this mindset. I, like others, want to root for a team and coaching staff that plays to win. It's not a coincidence that Pitt has so many heartbreaking defeats, it's actually quite simple: Luck tends to favor the bold. I get that Narduzzi wants to rely on his defense to close out games, but the defense isn't the strength of this team right now. I thought he learned his lesson last year against Iowa when they went ultra-conservative by punting on that 4th down. Sadly, he doesn't seem to have learned anything. Just disappointing.

I distinctly remember the Pitt fanbase crucifying graham after the Iowa loss for not slowing things down. It is easy to second guess the coach sitting on your couch.

Deflecting blame to Graham, classic. I can't speak for others, but I will NEVER crucify a coach for being aggressive with a lead. Now, if we're running the ball down a team's throats the whole game and are up multiple scores, and proceed to throw 3 straight incompletions multiple drives in a row, I will question the decision. Calling a play-action on 1st or 2nd down on any of the last 3 or 4 possessions likely wins the game. I don't get why it's over the coaching staff's head to call one or two play-action passes in the 4th quarter with a lead..that's not too much to ask?

I would criticize a coach to drastically alter a game plan at the end. We didn't

Maybe you guys would have preferred 30 yard pass, double reverse pass, then Hail Mary as the three plays?

How about we should have just kept running!!!

The game woulda been over
