I am alumni outside of the Pittsburgh region so I am not hearing much of the local chatter but actively review the message boards, watch many of the games and press conferences.
Besides wins, what else do you want from this team. Last year, everyone complained that the players were selfish, the coach was at odds with his players and it was not enjoyable to watch.
This year, you have guys giving 100% every night and working hard to play like a team. We also have a coach that continues to talk about how hard they are working and trying to find positives wherever possible.
Anyone who says Stallings is doing a horrible job this year is obviously not watching the same games I am watching.
On almost all nights, there is more talent on the other side of the court, we know this. But it is not time to focus on recruiting, it is time to get the guys on the roster to play up to their potential.
As Stallings said, there are no moral victories but I am confident that these last few games are going to lead to a few ACC victories before this season is over.
Let’s give these young guys the support they deserve and not sit around and complain about our talent level or how much we hate the coach.
They deserve and are earning our support.
