Let me start out by saying I don’t exactly want Chris Jent to be the next coach, but I don’t think he’s a disaster either.

His resume is actually pretty solid
•NBA player, who played with a Rockets team that won a title(albeit 3 games).
•NBA head coaching experience(interim role more than a decade ago)
•LeBron’s personal shooting coach. LBJ has greatly improved his shooting since coming into the league
•Worked with multiple NBA teams as an assistant
•D League(now G League) experience. Not big but he’s coached at all levels
•Seen real success while a Cavs assistant
•Saw real success in first stint at Ohio State
•Worked under Thad Matta, Larry Brown, Mike Budenholzer
•NBA players coached include LeBron, Iverson, Boogie, Grant Hill, Steve Francis, Dwight Howard, Isaiah Thomas, Derrick Coleman, Glenn Robinson, Ben Wallace, Baron Davis, Wally Szerbiak. Worked with Jared Sullinger, Keita Bates-Diop, Aaron Craft as biggest names in college

He’s not a big name and he has limited head coaching experience(D League and a handful of NBA games), but he’s still younger and has an impressive resume.

Again I don’t consider him high up my personal list, but would hiring him really be the disaster some make it out to be?
