Why is Paris Ford not a 5 star recruit??

Best player in the WPIAL and State. He committed early to Pitt. If he held out or committed to ND or OSU, then he would be a 5 Star.
Sad but I believe you. If that guy isn't a 5 star then I honestly don't know who should be.

He throws them periodically like a ninja. He probably just misplaced one.

Who cares. He looks to be a great player and that's all that matters. I get that the more 4 and 5 star players a team gets the more likely they'll be good but there's only so many. Narduzzi and staff will live or die with player evaluation. It's not likely they'll be hauling 4s and 5s any time soon. I'm sure he'll get some though as ha already has.

You should care. It's important that potential recruits see that Pitt can bring in the "top" 5 star guys. Paris Ford is awesome. Those highlights of him are amazing and he should be considered a 5 star. It's not right that he is not designated one.

It think its because he committed early. It's more interesting for rivals/scout to talk about where this and that 5* will end up. Not a prospect who is solid in one school.

His offer sheet tells more. Alabama, Florida State, Michigan, Ohio State, etc. all offered. You have to be the elite of the elite to have offers from all those schools.

Well, I don't. The results on the field will matter more than anything. If they get good players they'll win. Winning will attract recruits.

The knock on him has been the level of competition that he plays in. While I do agree he deserves a 5th star, it was quite obvious watching his game this morning that there is not much talent in that division. At times I thought I was watching a middle school game.

2 questions:

Any chance he enrolls early? Looks like his body could use a few extra lbs before starting on either side of the ball.

Will he play both ways? An athlete like that needs to be on the field as much as possible.

That hasn't worked out for Pitt basketball has it? Number 1 seed last in 2011 with a program steady and good and 5 years of bad recruits.

Yea. You may be helping to prove my point. Bad players. Talent evaluation. Dante Taylor 5 star. Had some injuries but wasn't that good regardless. Khem Birch. A flaky pu$$y.

Lots of theories as to why hoops recruiting went south. And they didn't have many real highly ranked classes. I think the highest one turned out to be a flaming pile. But down it did go because the talent level dropped.

Again - all I want are good players. Bucky and Sparty (this year aside) do quite well and are usually ranked in the high 20s low 30s.

And by the way - not being critical of you. If you wanna get your tits in a bunch because Ford is only a 4 star - have at it. I'm just excited we have a player that appears to be a stud coming to Pitt.

Am I missing something here because the guy looks simply awesome. Anyone watching his highlights can see this guy is a major stud. What the hell does he have to do to be considered a 5 star recruit, walk on water?

He made an impact on his title game, Wade did not. Of course Wade and his team was outclassed to say the least.

Ford appears to be a game changer with more of an upside. If I can only have one of the two I'll stick with the one we have.
