Why No Offer to Nelly Cummings yet?

Had a good conversation about Nelly 2 days ago with someone who would absolutely positively know about him. His words: "The real deal, but small, and he'll really need to prove he can play the point."
I assume that's what most higher division I programs are thinking about him, and when they are convinced, the high offers will follow.
This person feels quite certain the Nelly and Carmody are a level above Aiken.
Very touchy situation with a freshman combo guard who thinks of himself as a point, a promising PG coming in the 2016 class, offers out to several fairly well-rated PG's in '17, a promising local kid in Cummings and a legacy like Aiken who might be a half level below many of the others.
Somebody is going to end up with hurt feelings when it's all over. Cummings and Aiken are probably competing for the same slot. Both are slight kids with more reputation as undersized scorers than guys who run an offense.
With Milligan for two seasons, Wilson for 4 and Kithcart for 4 begining next year, the PG might be crowded for a while.

And players transfer every year this is the first one that Pitt has a large group of transfers. Regular students transfer, so maybe Pitt should fire the president because of that. . But again I ask are you Cummings agent ? Why so much noise and defense in Pitt not offering him .? And on each of my post/response to you I have asked you direct questions that you refuse to answer, and only given me general, opinionated and angry response.You sound really bitter and defensive man. The key word you used for Nelly is promising. There's a reason he doesn't have any major offers yet. Some are not yet certain he can fulfill his promise, mostly because the one part of his game he cannot improve is how tall he is.
Relax. Where do you see angry? Are my responses in red? Am I not permitted to state my point without you being offended by it? A bit touchy, aren't we? All I want is this program to take the next step. I feel, as someone who has watched Cummings play, that he is someone who can greatly aid in that dream.
I have a problem with a lot of Holier Than Thou attitudes on here. Everyone is so quick to try and dismiss people's opinions on here especially when they aren't in complete agreement with them. I've watched this kid grow, watched him play, and know other major colleges are taking big interest in him. I want Pitt to take the reigns before the other wolves come a knocking.
You cannot just throw offers in basketball out there like you can in football. You get 13 spots, do you better pick and choose who you want to offer wisely. Only about 4 or 5 teams can take the football approach and we're not one of them.
You can offer as many kids as you want it doesn't matter until they sign when their seniors. Kids change their minds ,Rowan and Heron , and schools pull offers like Pitt did with Jalen Bond.
What?? No. That's how you lose the trust of recruits. The last thing a school wants to be known as is a team who pulls scholarships for no reason. Bad reputation
For those who think this kid couldn't be a good point guard, watch some videos. When you can throw a half court bounce pass for a layup, you can play this game well. I'm done talkin, gots to go mop da flo!

By the way, probably a better idea to stay home and pass out candy then to watch the Panthers have a bad game. But we went , ate, drank good stuff before and after the horror show, just like Pitt fans do!

Uh, if you throw many half court bounce passes, you're not likely to get an offer here. It's not the style Dixon is looking for. Our PG's have been more BK, Levance, JRob substance and less Showtime flash.
If you only offer your targeted players your going to the dance by yourself especially if your trying to get higher rated players .Kids get injured ,have academic issues, legal issues ,another similar recruit commits first , you've peaked or regressed there's a lot of reasons to pull an offer. It works both ways.
