Why the disconnect?

We have heard a few times that Davis has some interest in Pitt on this site. However, the national guys do not even list Pitt as a contender. Why? Do Chris and/or Jim overstate any interest or are the national guys really not very tuned in to his recruitment? Agree that OSU and PSU are the leaders but no mention of Pitt just seems odd and confusing. Any thoughts?
