Will Ron Cook spend a day railing for Tom Bradley to be PSU's DC?

He will definitely mention it on air and maybe even in the Post of course incorporating the 'late, great Joe Paterno' in there somewhere.

And don't forget the ongoing "healing" that continues in Happy Valley. Gotta mention that, too.....

Its a delicious thought.
Actually, I'm guessing he won't, which will beg the question, why the hell not?
If he was smart, I think he would campaign for it, because..........he most likely would be a natural progression to be the HC in '17 when James from State College finishes a disappointing 8-5 next year. Then, it will be all sunshine and rainbows for the Nitters for days to come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Which, if there weren't other reasons, is exactly why Franklin wouldn't EVER consider hiring Bradley. Starting with the first loss of the season, 90% of the fan base would be calling for JF to be fired, and replaced at the helm by Bradley. That is as close to bringing Joe back as they will ever get (unless you want to count Jay, but they know he can't coach.)

8-5...good lord man! You have them winning at least 3 more games that what most would expect. Breaking in a new QB, OC, DC (likely); I could see them easily starting off with a 1-3 record in their first 4 games.

Why do you guys give cook the time of day? If you dislike the guy, don't click on his articles and don't talk about him. The more attention you give the hack, good or BAD, the more relevance you give him and hence you keep the azzhole in a job. Ignore him

Well so that his name doesn't come up on internet search engines here thus giving him more coverage can we just from now on refer to him as Ron Mexico?

Franklin will be very concern not to hire his replacement, just like he did when he chose Moorhead as OC and did it for recruiting more than coaching, in my view?

I doubt if older Penn State Coaches will be hired or any Penn State Alumnus. Even Haslett is a big threat with his NFL Roots, but he knows the PSU Players?

I still think and will be surprised if Shoop will leave, but something has change from turning down Auburn and LSU jobs, and now interviewing for UTenn job?

LSU Miles was on the Hot Seat last season and still is as far as I can read? Auburn trying to take on Saban's Alabama is another difficult job.

First off, if I am Bradley and have any pride, I tell Penn State to eff off. Secondly, Franklin maybe a lot of things, but he ain't that stupid. JF even with his ego has to realize a) he is not that popular right now in State College b) he is black in a sea of white c) Bradley is immensely popular with the Joebots.

Why would he even want to hire a guy who the denizens would prefer as head coach. It would be like Mike Tomlin bringing in Bill Cowher as a DC.

YOU ARE CORRECT SIR!

The Penn State Posters are already trashing Bob Shoop on BWI and just shows why would any Smart Recruit or Smart Coach want to even put up with that kind of Fan Base that will trash them someday soon????

Even more revealing look how James Franklin's Words in March of 2015 have come back to haunt him, on his Assistant Coaches and Current Players? This clearly shows Franklin talk is not his walk, and brags about his Loyal Coaching Staff and Great Players coming on in 2015 but did not show it this past season and his loyalty was during Donovan. Shoop is now being trashed and tarnished at Penn state too? What Franklin's said in Spring Ball did not square how he acted after the season and especially now? Penn State Higher Ups are hearing it now, from PSU Former Player Alumni and Franklin should be talking less, and coaching more, and no longer has the confidence in his words or actions, by others closest to him, as well as Penn State? Why some recruits are seeing, hearing and De-Committing too!

Excerpts:
"And it turns out that Shoop wasn't the only PSU defensive assistant who drew interest from another team. Franklin said Tuesday that an unnamed team was in hot pursuit of defensive line coach Sean Spencer, another assistant who followed him from Vanderbilt to Penn State. Spencer, now entering his second year with the Lions, is regarded as a top coach, motivator and recruiter.

"Let me say this: Bob is the guy that it became a big story,'' said Franklin when asked about Shoop staying put. "But we got a bunch of guys on our staff that got offers and opportunities to move on and turned it down. "Sean Spencer is a guy that I'm so appreciative of and so proud of because he got an offer with a dramatic raise at a school that people would consider a historic school, and turned it down without even telling me, without even telling the administration. I found out from the other coaches.'' "I think that's a great example of the commitment our guys have to this program, to this university,'' Franklin continued.
"(I'm) also excited about the future, where we're going, our players. That's Bob. That's Sean. That's a number of our coaches. I could go on and on.''

Now one has to wonder if Shoop goes does he take any of his Assistants with him too and Recruits too?

Mark my words. Cook will not "promote" him this time, saying after the wise move would be for Bradley to wait until Franklin is fired and take the head coaching job. Maybe if that happens Cook will move to Creepy Valley and we'll never have to hear from him again. One can dream.

Cook's favorite line on the Radio is ...."I Don't Know" and this happens when asked what will happen and I just listen in for a few minutes in any week, when NPR or another channel has a subject I am not interested in or when Starkey or Zeise talks with him. I listen to Starkey & Zeise because they are much more informed without bad attitudes and looking for ratings. Even though, Pony The Baloney, does some research by reading ESPN Articles to enhance his views on the show. I find his voice and content often just unlikable and unable to listen to it irritating manner.

Why listen to anyone that talks and then says he really doesn't know and gets it wrong more than right in his analysis or predictions or logic backing both up often wrong???

Cook's Article writings are not bad, I quit reading them too, because he has a bias agenda that keeps him in good steed at PPG, but terrible Radio Hosts!

I think I could coach them to 6 wins with their schedule. I mean, we are the highlight of their OOC (I think Temple comes back to earth...no way they drop 2 in a row to the Owls.) The rest of the B1G is weak save for the usual suspects. 8-5 is the high end. 7 wins will be the over/under...

Good analysis, with the new OC and running QB and Sanders and Barkley with just an average OL and great Wideouts, they could go 9 to 10 wins, but Michigan, MSU, Iowa and PITT, is almost all back? OSU losing many Juniors? Temple playing at Beaver will be in for a full revenge game. But Rhule is a good coach too?

Anything less than 8-4 will just add more pressure on Franklin and depends if Shoop is leaving or not, I still think he sticks with PSU!
