After hearing Charles Barkley’s cryptic statement about some sort of friction between Willard and the Maryland’s AD, I did some quick digging and saw that Willard is purportedly talking to Villanova about their coaching opening as a result of a fallout with the Maryland admin. because of their refusal to allow him to keep his team in NY an extra night around the Christmas holidays. He’s also purportedly ticked off about the allocation of nil funds between the FB and BB programs. A couple of commentators suggested that Maryland has already started their search for a replacement. Having spent the time he did at SH, I can see how Willard would feel a lot more comfortable back in the BE at Nova.
