....what are the odds that Ron Cook's favorite coach gets an interview for even *ONE* of those jobs?

Will he be crying about Tom Bradley not getting an interview at any of those the way he cried last year about Pitt hiring Narduzzi and not interviewing Bradley?

allegations aside, you stick with a program too long, you lose your window. Foster from hokies is finding this out as well. In this day and age, if you are an asst coach with the same program for more than a few years, that's not a good thing. You are either moving up or losing value..

That's actually a great point. Tom Bradley is the DC at UCLA after having held the same post at PSU for a very long time. One would think Bradley would have to at least get interviewed by someone, right?

Ha! Don't bet on it. Oh, the humanity! Why is everyone so blind to his obvious coaching brilliance?

I actually just posted about how Syracuse will not be able to hire anyone that is a known name. Maybe they should just offer Bradley and take the chance. If not they're looking at a coordinator that is not very well known.

Bud Foster, John Chavis, Kirby Smart... Smart will probably land one somewhere eventually.

Some coaches just dont have the personality for it. I'm still dumbfounded that Ole Miss hired Ed Orgeron.

I hate to admit that not only did I enjoy Orgeron in The Blind Side, I enjoyed the movie as well. If any of you lets this out, I will kick you in the shins. :p

With all these openings, I think we send a thank you note to Barry Alvarez for grabbing PC last year, which enabled us to grab Narduzzi. I think it's safe to say that Narduzzi would have had quite a few very good opportunities if he were looking this year.

You are absolutely correct. Loyalty is great thing, but if your goals are to be a head coach, sooner or later (preferably sooner), you need to take that leap. If you allow opportunities to pass, you end up making lateral moves while your peers pass you by. It happens in the real world too.

Yes, thank goodness the Wisconsin coach bolted last year, and not this year! Whew! Who knows who would have ended up with as our head coach!

We need to thank Gary Andersen for preferring the Pinot Noirs and Rouge beers to the milk and Miller of Wisconsin. He was the one who shockingly left the Badgers. Thank you Gary, thank you very, very much.

I hope they hire him and he hires Jay Paterno as his OC. Imagine how excited Ron Cook would be.
