With Carlton Carrington…

To answer your question, yes. Kentucky and Duke will absolutely have better freshmen guards. Baylor, Kansas, UConn, UCLA, Memphis also. USC, Indiana comparable

Dillingham, DJ Jr and Reed Sheppard is possibly the best freshmen backcourt in NCAA history and the 2 bigs are top 10. The talk of Cal’s demise is quite silly.

I’m excited at the prospect of having these three guards next year. I just wish Burton or Cummings was sticking around to anchor them. Though I’m sure they’ll find another quality transfer guard in the portal.

No one finds it curious that Texas, Houston and A and M had zero interest in Jaland Lowe when he’s ranked 68th in the country?
Because he wasn’t always ranked 68th in the country? I know coaches don’t/shouldn’t pay attention to recruiting services, but it seems to me Jayland was under recruited early and was a late bloomer. I also know Memphis, who you mentioned as having a strong group of incoming guards, was pushing for him late, was set to host him for an official, until he committed here.

Here’s a quote from Capel from a Chris Peak article.

“I’ve known Jaland probably since he was four or five. When I was the head coach at Oklahoma, his dad was part of one of the better AAU programs there in Houston, the Houston Hoops, which we recruited very hard. So I got to know his dad and would see Jaland around the gym all the time.

“It was funny watching him this summer. He was playing against somebody else and I couldn’t believe it was him. I couldn’t believe it was little Jay. After the Peach Jam was over with, I remember I called his dad, who I stayed in touch with, and I just said, ‘You know, your son’s really good; would your wife let him leave Houston?’ I know how close their family is. He said, ‘We’re just looking for the best situation.’ So we jumped in, built the relationship.”

So maybe he was an under the radar kid. Also seems like a kid from a strong family, which surely is a plus for Capel.

Specifically a trio of guards. I know the blue bloods will have 5 star guards.

Wow, Wade would be awesome there. Huge Will Wade fan here.

If you are Clemson though and they dont make the tournament, isnt it time to go in a different direction and let Brownell go. Will Wade played at Clemson.
Will Wade was a manager at Clemson. He did not play. And they will not hire him.

Clemson's morals are higher than Western Kentucky's?
1. Western Kentucky hired Rick $tan$bury to cheat before it was legal. They have zero morals. Probably why they’re top 10 all time in CBB wins.

2. Clemson is hiring an African American coach if they move on Brownell. A specific one as well. Been negotiating behind closed doors for a few weeks now.

Earl Grant

Would be a slam dunk for Clemson. He's done a great job at BC. I was thinking Grant could also leave for GT.

Pitino to BC makes all the sense in the world. Also hearing SJU, Gtown, and ND. ND would be interesting. Seems to be a good fit at Catholic schools.

I’ll wait til he and the other recruits sign, we all thought mintz and sheffino were going to be panthers too

Given his pre-Pitt track record and irrespective of his legal issues, agree that the odds are he never steps on the floor in a Pitt uniform.

Johnson won't be here. I can't imagine a scenario where he is.

As for the other 2, they're not here yet and until they step on the floor in a Pitt uniform, they're irrelevant. I hear all the hype. But it's just noise because they aren't at Pitt and may not be. I never trust a kid's "commitment" until I see him on the floor at The Pete in a Pitt uniform. Besides, they'll be freshmen if they do show up. They usually don't contribute that much in their first year unless their name is Blair, Smith or Adams. To be honest, I'd rather Capel gets a couple of seasoned, mature guards in the portal that will fit with the team and add experience. Let the freshmen learn and get some experience.

Ok. Where is he going to be then? No P6 school will take him given his off-court issues. Is he really going to go to Western Kentucky and play in obscurity? Or try the G-league?

He kind of looks like Shaka
Respect THE SHAKA

After what happened at Louisville, ND would never, ever, ever, hire Rick Pitino. And nobody with any basketball credibility would ever suggest with a straight face that he's even a remote possibility for that job.

I can't imagine where you claim to have heard that from, but it's the kind of thing some sports media dumbass would float without any basis, just to get a reaction.
