I wouldn’t mind seeing us add the son to the team, and Darnell to the coaching staff. The PS OL Coach isn’t going to impress any of the mother’s out there with his looks.

Agree I hope that Pitt is recruiting him at TE. Need to keep these type of recruits and also get his dad on staff in some capacity.

Pitt is abysmal in recruiting former player's kids. Most go to Penn State like Apke and Richards. Its really pretty pathetic. At least go SOMEWHERE other than Penn State. Geez.

PSU has whiffed on a dozen or so highly rated prospects at TE but are still very much in play for several more. Franklin likes to offer mid-level kids in PGH because he wants that pipeline to stay open and make good with coaches. I'd guess the kid has a somewhat conditional offer from them. Just a guess, though, because of who else they've offered and have interest from.

It just feels like Pitt and Dinkins aren't mentioned all that often. Hopefully that'll change.

I guess he wants to play TE, which is interesting because I don't see him ever attached or blocking inline. He does have nice ball skills and adjusts to catch the ball in traffic. I'd be inclined to try him first on offense, then safety. I'm not sure about linebacker though. He makes plays on D, but I just haven't seen him taking on linemen to defeat a block to do it.

I think that kid from DeMatha is a good prospect for a move TE in 2 years - 6'4" 190lbs.

I dont give a damn what he looks like. If he wanted to come to Pitt, Id take him in a second. He did a hell of a job at BC, as we all saw last fall.

Agree as he had a strange answer as to why he didn’t post his Pitt offer on twitter but he posted all of his other offers. See the article below. Basically Pitt was his 2nd offer, he posted VA his first. He said his dad told him not to post offers on Twitter so he didn’t post the Pitt offer and then later dad said it was ok to post offers and he put all his other offers on Twitter. Seems DJ may still have issues from his experience at Pitt. But this staff had nothing to do with that.
