Women's Hoops Roster Completed

The new roster now has the recent transfer, Destiny Strother, added. The full compliment of 15 players on ship is now listed.

Strother was apparently recruited very hard by Pitt when she was a high school senior.

She is supposed to be a really good scoring guard with a good 3-point shot (4 for 9 in limited PT action with Marquette last season as a true freshman). She needs to sit out the coming year and has 3 years of eligibility to play.

The transformations of both the men’s and women’s BB rosters has been amazing. So many capable-looking players on both teams now.

Going to be a big challenge for the coaches to manage so many players...

The upgrades to both rosters are really encouraging... Now we just need a season to see what we’ve got.

15 for the women's side is to many. Is someone leaving we don't know about? I believe one transfer gets to play second semester . Curious on how the minutes will be split. I expect Harris to get 30 minutes Rita 25, and after that is open competition?

No, it’s not. The limit for NCAA women is 15.

Maybe he means that 15 players is functionally too many from a roster management perspective?

Ha, sorry i meant to say to many on a team. 15 scholarships are to many. The better teams keep 12. I'm surprised schools are letting teams add at this time especially with coaches taking reduced salaries this year.

Gotcha. When you asked if someone is leaving that’s what made me go that direction.

Since Pitt isn’t anywhere near the better teams I guess maybe the coach is loading up to the limit and will sort through it and give playing time accordingly.

There are 3 seniors who will graduate. Also, maybe there are a few potential redshirts?
