WV HS championships moving to WVU & Marshall?

You do realize that Hersheypark Stadium was originally built as a 1/3 mile race car track so the bleachers are actually farther from the field than typical track stadium. You clearly have never been to a game there as it is very far from the field to the sidelines. Secondly the facility is very out dated and are nearly as nice as CV. Using google maps there is 282 ft between the two bleachers at CV. The distance between the two bleachers at Hershey is 315 ft.

Fonzie at least made the attempt. I would not hold your breath waiting for SMF to do the same...

Ok then Hersheypark Stadium is out. Back to Bucknell it is. A legit D1 football stadium.

North Hills doesn't have a track? Why are they playing the 5A and 6A Championships, which are almost always going to be played between northern Allegheny County schools at a Westmoreland County track and field stadium?
Norwin is a pretty nice spot to watch a game, but the concessions and restrooms are badly outdated. Ambridge, Belle Vernon, Greensburg Salem, and North Hills are all much nicer than Norwin, but the argument for all four places would be parking. People just don't want to walk.

Canon McMillan probably has the nicest track stadium from a seating perspective. USC also has a really nice track stadium and it's been updated.

I would play 3A-6A at Acrisure. Play 1A and 2A in Westmoreland County or Wheeling or wherever you want to send those 1000 people to. Eliminate a round for 3A and 4A. Teams seeded 9 or lower are neve winning it anyway.

For football yes. After we were bumped to 5A again the decision was made to go independent.

Fayette and Greene shouldn't even be in the WPIAL. Uniontown, AG, Connellsville and Brownsville are all independent in football. The only 2 WPIAL Fayette football programs are Frazier and LH

And LH came crashing back to reality this season. Frazier went 1-9 the last two years.

I don't know.... a field with a car track around it has potential. I give you old Windber stadium. The grandstands in that place were big! Home of Windber high school.
