I hope he at least has 2 degrees with all these years he's been in school.
Crazy was he was a selfish teammate just trying to get to the league and now here he is 6 years later still in college
Is Marcus Carr gonna get another year of eligibility, too? It seems like he has been around NCAA basketball forever.

All of our departing ‘seniors’ should have pursued that same scam as well so we could have had another season with ‘em . It would have been at least as legitimate. I’m sure they’ve all had paper cuts at least as severe as whatever the one BS Johnson submitted as his excuse. Or was it PTSD from having his girlfriend stolen (or regifted?) while here?

The extra Covid year really changed everything. I'd have given that to the seniors only, not had them count against the scholarship totals for one year, and then been done with it. Or take it one step further and give the non-seniors a chance to take an extra redshirt in 2020 and get that year back. But to play a mostly full season and then get a mulligan on it has made things weird.
I'm sure the incendiary piece is coming when some media outlet inevitably picks it up and runs the numbers on exactly how many fewer high school players ever got to go to college because of it. There has to be a trickle-down effect when teams like Pitt have like ten guys on the roster who four years ago would already be in the workforce. I imagine it will coincide with when they decide it's time to take down the NCAA and start paying the players as employees.

I thought Nelly and Nike should have applied for waivers. Worst they can do is tell you no.
The Patriot League didnt play non-conference games in the Covid Year. And Nike didnt play a full season during the Covid year. They probably wouldnt have gotten it but might as well try.

I cant wait until the first player who is out of eligibility sues the NCAA for them denying his right to earn a living.
I would stay in college too if I was getting paid to do it. Xavier Johnson is no dummy.

Let’s see if he can become the oldest collegiate player to get suspended or benched.
