Yarnell to the portal

If Yarnell plays in an offense that is coordinated by a non gimmick OC and has half of an offensive line. Yarnell was always the better passer than Holstein
Right on
Okay, I'll just take your word for it. Nate Yarnell and Nick Patti would have each gone 10-2 if we had a bunch of way better players
If I were of greater intellect I would have posted what boseman7 did above, thanks for the restraint in your response.

That sucks, but definitely expected. That kid gave his heart and soul to the program for 4 years. A true Pitt man! Hopefully he gets a shot as a starter somewhere next year.

He was not the problem, but he wasn’t the solution either.

That being said I hope he plays well elsewhere

It's the Pitt fan way.

I was told all offseason how Yarnell is going to lead us to 7-10 wins. Now, the second he's gone, he was underwhelming and the staff likes two guys who have never taken a snap more, lol.

For the record, I don't think Yarnell is all that good. But you'd obviously like to have him back when considering the alternatives.

Because it’s not the same people making those comments.

I rooted for him of course - but thought he was a clear step down from Holstein, and why I thought it was silly to not want Eli to work through his issues and injuries

I am, he played well for the situations he was thrown into. His good performances greatly outnumbered his poor performances. Holstein can't read defenses at all, he is basically hurt a lot as well.
I’m a big fan. Played well in spots in previous years when we needed him. He was a solid 2. Didn’t walk, stayed with the team way longer than most backups. I wish him well.
