I'm going Offensive tackle. Our line has been injured and struggling the past two years. We need some help...badly.
I'd have to agree. Jeremiah Smith as an 18 year old will probably be single handedly responsible for making some dumb NFL GM way overdraft Will Howard.
Doesn't matter. A 5 star might also suck, but if he is good then we won't be able to afford to keep him.
I was assuming he meant the 5 star would be like 1st Round good. I think a dominant WR gets you more wins than any other position besides QB.
But if your OL can't handle 4 DLs, it won't matter. Like against Miami when Rod didn't have time to get Larry the ball. But, a single great OL can only block one got.
QB is the position with the most potential to change game, and even when having the guy we still lost to Western Michigan, or whatever jabroni program it was.
We simply can't compete.
Some are saying that might have been the greatest defense of all time so let's keep things in perspective. Give me a 1st Round WR and we'll beat Virginia and Georgia Tech.
You’re fun.Doesn't matter. A 5 star might also suck, but if he is good then we won't be able to afford to keep him.
Larry was one of the best WRs of all time. He dominated beyond what most first rounder WRS or 5 star recruits can do.
Yeah this or DE .Defensive tackle.
Yeah this or DE .
Maybe CB to eliminate half the field like Revis used to
Well -CB is still just too dependent on the rest of the CBs and safeties.
Somebody above mentioned Miami’s D (obviously not ‘24 team) above. Miami’s secondary this past season was horrific. Arguably the worst in P4. It alone cost them a playoff spot.
Yet one of their corners was first team FR All America. One damn corner isn’t enough to prevent a secondary from being G5 worthy.
An elite corner’s impact on the game is far less than an elite WR’s impact.
Just saying that Miami D is a bad example to use.
Until Eli is injured a couple games laterWith Eli at QB, definitely a 5-star WR. That would be a game changer for this offense.
