While we’re waiting on some of these announcements, I share today’s office banter. Got to talking around the water cooler as to, if you had to rank the below in order of which you believe would occur first, how would you order them?
1. Pitt MBB National Championship
2. Pitt FB National Championship
3. Steelers Super Bowl
4. Pens Stanley Cup
5. Pirates World Series
6. A new Pittsburgh major sports team (nba/mls/etc.).
My order:
1. Pitt MBB national championship - just takes one good year and anything can happen
2. Steelers Super Bowl - optimistic on kenny, QB on a rookie deal for first time in 15ish years, good core of young talent paired with fantastic draft on paper this year
3. New Major Sports team - tough to count this out when you see the expansion and all the money these leagues are making, but don’t necessarily think it’s likely either
4. Pens Stanley Cup - was an awesome run, but window is almost shut. Man were the back to back years fun and it’s a shame they didn’t pick up one more at some point along the way
5. Pitt FB National Championship - obviously last few years have been great and everyone’s excited, but can we ever reach the top of the mountain where the top 5-7 teams live every year? Going to be tough
