Tough break. With Pickett, we win. With Patti, we probably win. With Beville...........what can you do?
The OC was awful. You don’t rush a young qb there. Run and kick the FG at worse
Lots of QBs look bad in their first real college action. Add in a good bit of pressure and it's tough to judge at this point
If Pickett plays, we beat MSU by 21. Easily.
So now for next year, we have 1 legitimate QB and some kid from the transfer portal who we hope is better. Pitt needs to have more QB's to have a competition for that position. Beville is not a candidate.

He trash - he has no talent. Why is he on scholarship?
He was a deer in headlights,he struggled to understand the plays that were called,the play before the interception salem had to change the play multiple times and he just threw the ball up for grabs
I would say if Patti doesn’t transfer, we are in really really good shape at QB

I can take losing on the 3rd string quarterback throwing a pick; just which it hadn't been an 80 yards pick 6 to rub in it. Nobody picking up the football on the following kickoff wasn't a good look either.
Slovis isn't some unproven commodity. He should win the job. Something has gone wrong if there is much of a competition.

It’s hard these days to have that. Kids that are good don’t wanna be worse then the number 2 guy. 3 and down are likely always gonna be developmental types at all but maybe a few schools. And there’s even a lot of movement at the higher end schools now.
Yeah I thought your best strategy at that point is tie it up. And it’s a coin flip in OT. Chances we were gonna get 6 were still slim
You can blow a 21-10 lead easily when your offense blows and your OC is a dimwit. They had to have conservative play calling because if they don't do that, look what happens....interception.
MSU isn't that good of a team. But our play calling was forced on us with Patti out. With Patti in, we win by a TD. With Pickett, we win by 21 easily.
They are acting like the MSU QB played great. All three touchdowns were great plays by his receivers with him just chucking it down the field. Now, they owed him for dropping some passes but it isn’t like he was throwing amazing passes. He couldn’t hit simple out routes for most of the game.
