Butkus retired the year before Webster was drafted by the Stillers, so he never played against him.
I never saw any live games with him, I was (hard to believe) too young to be paying attention to football then. But in the NFL Films videos from the period, he was pretty dam ferocious (and that was an era when pretty much every player was ferocious).
He was also funny in the Miller Lite commercials with Bubba Smith in the late 70s. All those commercials were awesome, actually. Somehow Terry Hanratty found his way into those too.

Friday Night Tykes - Steel Country is another blast from the past.
Blue & White has an interesting story about it. I understand it was an offer they couldn't refuse (all the perks from ESPN) but I feel bad for the seniors who kind of had their season trashed for the sake of reality TV. Interesting note that I never realized from the story is that White was the one who suggested Montour to ESPN.
