Pitt Women beat RMU

I don't know what other choices Verdi has.

At this point he doesn't have any other choices.

I fear that we are going to find out when we start playing better teams that Faye isn't nearly as good as her numbers to date suggest. She'll still get her share of points, because we are obviously going to play through her a lot, and she'll get some rebounds because she's tall, but I have a bad feeling that her efficiency is going to go way down when we play teams with good bigs.

I really hope I am wrong about that, but I'm worried that that is what we are going to see.

Ive seen some horrible

It’s not a huge talent gap! Players were sloppy and the coaches were completely out schemed. We literally almost beat Clemson last week despite a huge disparity in penalties, poor coaching, and having our back up QB start. Does Clemson have less talent than Louisville?? Did Stanford have more when they beat Louisville last week??? Catching the ball when you are wide open does not require talent. Pitt has proven over the years it has the talent it needs to compete in the Big East and now the ACC.
You can say it isn't, but yes it is.

The coaching was terrible today. If you don’t sustain drives early you aren’t going to win. If there are deficits in talent, coach around it. Don’t keep callling the same plays all year at the same times. Bell coaches like I’m sure he did at Western Carolina when he did have superior talent. You can’t be that obvious at this level. It’s so obvious we all know what’s coming on every down and drive. So it’s not going to be a surprise for opponents that have a decent coaching staff that has weeks of tape to review what we do every game. I get Louisville might have marginally more talent. But it’s not that extreme. I mean they have lost 4 games including Stanford just last week. I refuse to believe Stanford has a significant talent advantage over us. You only keep bringing up talent so you can basically ridicule anyone who has the audacity to believe Pitt should be able to compete. Thats ridiculous. The talent gap isn’t as extreme as you say it is that Pitt can’t beat teams in our conference. We literally beat this team last year when we were 3-9.
First, I have to say the Clemson game sucked any life left out of our team. Having said that, I think the talent disparity is quite large when it comes to the line of scrimmage. We got our asses beat badly on both sides of the ball. Our lines are really bad. Since the start of the SMU game we have been beaten up on both lines each game. When Virginia pushes you around, you know you have serious issues.

Our qb room

PITT doesn't have a WR that can actually catch.
Mumpfield has pretty good hands. He has the occasional drop, but for the most part, I think he's pretty dependable. I like Konata.

I'm not going to single anyone out, but as a group, other than Konata, I think they are soft. And as I say that, I'm speaking in general over the course of the season. I'm well aware that Nate put some of those guys in harm's way today.
