Pitt’s new on campus football stadium

"They build hospitals where populations actually need them"??
I don't know about that one. I mean, did the Municipality of Monroeville and the surrounding eastern suburbs really need to have UPMC East built out there? I don't think so. There was already a fully functioning Level 2 trauma center (Forbes Regional Hospital) about 3/4 of a mile down the road from it, was UPMC East actually needed? I don't think that is why that hospital was built. I don't think that it had anything to do with healthcare of those living in that area, I think it all has to do with MONEY and how much more of it that UPMC wants to make off of those living in the Pittsburgh area.
Hint Forbes is Highmark/AHN
East is UPMC

The VA isn’t for profit like those - it’s a nationalized healthcare system .
So the idea of moving it to the burbs is nonsense
No doubt the perverse and inefficient incentives for private insurers is silly .
But , that’s too hard to grasp for some -
Until their employer cuts their benefits to save money - so they instead blame the government ironically .

The Morning Pitt: 10/31/2024 - What can Pitt prove at SMU on Saturday night?

All season, Pitt's players and coaches have been saying "Prove it," and now they've got their biggest opportunity to do just that. What's at stake for the Panthers when they go to SMU on Saturday? What can they prove? We're breaking it down on today's Morning Pitt.

Interesting tweet from David Hale

Starting on Tuesday, all that matters is CFP rank. If we win and PSU loses, we will be somewhere between 7-9. PSU will be 1-3 spots behind us. Now, if you are talking about polls, you may be right. But those wont matter.

I’m talking about the college football playoff rankings.

Connelly has been putting it out every week the last few weeks. It’s a formula of various inputs that he has found ends up mirroring the college football playoff rankings, so it’s close to whatever inputs they are using.

That’s where he has the two teams in the college football playoff rankings.

REPORT: The SEC & Big Ten are looking to each have 4 automatic bids to the playoff when the next contract begins in 2026, per @CFBHeather

You are missing the point of the post. If you are playing in a conference that is at the FBS level and you win that conference, then you should receive an opportunity to participate in the national championship playoffs.
Also, who cares how many points a MAC champion would be in a given game? Upsets happen all of the time and that's why we play the games. 30 point underdog...who cares?
I offer you the following examples to support the point of the post...

-In 2007, Pitt was a 28 1/2 underdog to WVU, did it matter? No, it did not.
-In 2007, App. State was a 34 1/2 point underdog when they upset Michigan. did it matter??? No it did not.
-In 2017, Howard beat UNLV and they were a 45 1/2 point underdog, Did matter??? No it did not.

The solution is simple. Raise the number of teams from 12 to 16 and give ALL FBS conference champions a GUARANTEED spot in the playoffs. It is the right thing to do.

No

Most Gronk thing ever. Hes a national treasure

You have really bad taste. The person you should be looking up to is the kid sitting in those seats tonight who is courageously battling cancer.
wow, is this over dramatic for crying out loud..

did i say i look up to these people? i think it's funny and laugh at media for making it a big deal.

You sound like a hallmark movie..

"Knight Vision" - BK gets some love on Slam Cover

Congrats to BK on landing these 2, especially the Georgia kid. Harper's brother was a much easier get. I wished he had the ambition to be a Head Coach but he is doing a great job, living where he wants, and has a lower-stress job that makes him a lot of money. Nothing wrong with that. Not everyone needs the stress that comes with a multi-million/year job or can afford to take a short-term paycut at a mid-major to eventually reach those heights.
