Jaland is a very talented player and a good guy, but he simply is not playing well. Much of the problem with our offense is far too much stationary dribbling by him, and to a lesser extent, Ish, trying to break down defenders one on one, and then further in Jaland 's case just really, really bad shot selection.

He needs to realize at this stage in his career he is not a three-point shooter, and chucking up horrible three pointers by him and a few others in the last few minutes of regulation and in overtime was the biggest factor in us losing this game.

Jaland needs to quit dribbling so much, quit shooting from three so much and move the ball and pick his spot where his tremendous ball handling and ability to create lateral space can come to the forefront

They won the Sugar and Orange Bowls a week apart. Its so ridiculous the CFP outsources these games to bowls. The Final Four should be played at 1 location and the winning fans could stay the week. Bid it out to LA, LV, Detroit, Minny, Indy, Orlando, Jax, Tampa, Houston, Nashville, and Charlotte. Keep all the money. No more ridiculousness of winning 2 bowls in a week.

Things look really bad right now. But the win over the Year 1 Darian Devries juggernaut + the OSU roadie would have us in Dayton right now. We haven't done anything since and we certainly dont look like an NCAAT team but if we beat Clemson, we still have a pretty good chance to make it.

The Trib is saying that Keslar lost by a pinfall, which I understand to mean that his shoulders were held to the mat for a count of three. Are 6 points only given for a pinfall but a wrestler could conceivably escape from a pin and the match could continue? I always thought that 6 points were given for a pin, so pinfall is new terminology for me.

As expected our players lost to ranked NCST. Despite the loss there were a number
of positive points worth noting in this game. Even with a big talent difference we hung
in there for three Qtrs. We were only down 39-35 at the half and the way the game
was played we could easily have been in the lead. Faye was scoring, having her way
inside along with made FT's. Marley was hitting to the tune of 13 at the half including
a few threes (two games in a row where she's starting to hit). Unfortunately only 3 pts
in the second half along with three airballs. I've said over and over on here that she's
an athlete...if only she could shoot. Well things maybe looking up for her. Hopefully
she keeps hitting. Miles again with a good floor game only 4 pts but also only 1 TO.
Speaking of my favorite stat.....we were much approved A/TO at 15/16. The difference?
Good college women teams do what NCST did.......20/10.

Another major difference NCST, 13-25 on their 3's for 52%, while we were 5-18 for 27%.
Watching them knock down their 3's (some contested, some wide open) I didn't just
see hot shooting, I saw REAL talent. James, Rivers and Brooks are far more talented than
anyone on our roster. Enough about them!.

Our players dont need to hang their heads after their performance last night. They have
a lot of fight and showed it. Faye has proven to be legit in this conference. She had 28 pts
and was getting manhandled physically. We have more tough ACC games coming up
against some other ranked teams. Hopefully we'll see continued improvement.
