Should the ACC just go ahead and add UConn?

The ACC as it is known today will be dead in a couple years. Duke, BC, Wake and Cuse can join UConn and a bunch of other BB schools in some configuration at that time. Pitt won't be a part of that stupidity again though. We learned from the BE fiasco.

    ACC/Big 12 Merger

If this happens, why not take this opportunity to finally cut some of the schools/programs that don't offer anything and never have?

These guys are relentless - WTF?

What defied odds was that in his first 2 starts he had 5 ints. 4 of the 5 hit the intended receivers in the hands. Also, how many times did receivers drop passes in the end zone? He had crappy talent around him. What he did with what he had was pretty impressive. Just look at the team record...

These guys are relentless - WTF?

Except all those game winning drives that he had when they were forced to take the cuffs off of him.

Saban on the state of college athletics

It's pretty amazing that he and Belichek were together in Cleveland. I wonder how Browns fans can even get out of bed sometimes.

    OT: Replacing the Mon Incline

I thought that incline was managed by a non-profit made up of a bunch of folks who were enthusiasts? Maybe that's the other incline? As a long time PAT customer, I'm shocked, shocked I tell you, that they've mismanaged yet another mode of transportation. Maybe they should float a trial balloon...

OT: Remembering John Candy who passed away 30 years ago today...from SCTV

Planes Trains and Automobiles is one of the most underrated flicks of all-time in my opinion. I just can't not watch it if it's ever on. He and Martin were sensational. What a talent. From what I hear a truly wonderful person. Apparently, nobody knew how much he gave to charity until after he...

    RIP Andy Russell

I remember Mansfield talking about a recent pack mule trip they took in the Grand canyon when he spoke at an event my company hosted. He was a great speaker. He and Andy got down to the canyon floor and a heat wave almost killed them. He died not long after that He told stories of fishing in...

    OT: All Star Games

The great thing about those early Mario All-Star games is that we got to see what he could do when he got the Gretzky treatment. It was amazing.

    Report: Pitt hires WR Coach

FCS coaches put in as much time as BCS coaches just for far less money. Also, the delta between the great programs and trash ones is far closer than in BCS so to land a player you want you need to out recruit your competitors not just lean on your program. For example, I'd rather have this guy...

    OT: The forgotten PENS

This should be fun. Name some great sports cities. Let's see how they stack up to your standards. I know from personal experience that Philly and Boston are both no better and in my opinion seemed not as loyal but saying that they aren't great sports cities would be silly imo.

They need to shut it down. Seriously.

Give it a few weeks. This guy will have his own symbol on the pervert flag and you'll be cancelled for not celebrating him.

Where Pitt fits into conference realignment, an analysis

I wonder if all these Titanic programs joining one another and the egos they bring with them will create a market for what I call fodder programs? These are programs that only exist to inflate win totals for others but get a payoff with being allowed to be elite in lesser sports or by being...

    College Football is a mess

It seems like a logical step. The final shoe to drop will be when schools start "hiring" non-traditional students that left early for the NFL, washed out and still have eligibility. Frankly, I don't really care anymore. I went from having season tix, going to every game, donating, having paid...

New football subdivision planning for January 2025

Someone has to lose. Every quality conference has to have fodder for the elites. The smart conferences placate them with Olympic or BB success. You can't have a sustainable conference of Texas, Bama, Mich, OSUx2 and USC. The egos of those fan bases wouldnt allow it

    Congrats to James Conner!

He led the league in that category in his first year as a starter and was leading the league in one of his other seasons in Arizona until he got hurt. Once he gets going, he's a real killer and runs with incredible balance. Unfortunately he doesn't really have that extra burst and gets a ton of...

    Congrats to James Conner!

1st 1000 yard season and 5.0 yards per carry in a pretty crappy offense. I only saw him twice but in both games, he was probably the best RB I've seen all year. He's had an excellent season. If only he could be surrounded by a good supporting cast and stay healthy?
