John Gruden as db coach as those ESPN cuts are much, much deeper than anyone ever envisioned.
Not a bad idea. He personally landed quite a few recruits from what his former teammate told me.
I believe he’s at Penn Hills now right?
Not sure if he would have interest, but I would love to see Phil Clarke back at Pitt in some capacity with the in-roads he has built in Florida as a consultant, speaker, and mentor to college football recruits.

He has a ton of energy, very likeable, and loves Pitt and football. He is at penn hills now, probably not enough experience, but he is still young and energetic, so I think a good choice.
PN isn't very interested in recruiting PA,WPA kids aren't very interested in going to Pitt either,Pitt is a backup school to all these kids,regardless if Pitt is winning or not,PN is focusing on kids who want an opportunity to play at Pitt and can succeed regardless of where there from
If a local recruit doesn’t want to attend Pitt for whatever reason, then move onto other talented players. FL is absolutely loaded with talent, so it makes a ton of sense to recruit it hard. It is a 2 hour round trip flight and you can get a flight cheap, so players and their family can travel back and forth. The one area I’d like to see us recruit harder is Harrisburg and Eastern PA.
Kradel, Danielson, Zubovic, and Green disagree with you. All chose Pitt over offers from other big time schools.
