since the last two games of 2016 and the first two of this season we having given up 185 points to power five opponents- Syracuse 61, Northwestern 32, PSU 33 and today 59. Now before the we are young perennial crowd responds keep in mind that two of those games were against 2016 opponents when he had three senior lineman , three senior linebackers and several senior secondary members.
I am a Pat Narduzzi fan but how can you win with these type of defensive performances. Modern day offenses are tough to stop without the flexibility to change schemes or the necessary talent to do such .If we beat Tech next week we could still be on track for a decent season. Time will tell but if our defense gets hammered again next week it could be a very disappointing season where the law of averages continues to escape Pitt.
