2 Silent Commits

I don't agree. If pine flips and Hudson commits to us, many on this board would change their tune. In the end, we need a lot more talent, both are needed, not just one.

Dion, his article said "2 players that will eventually commit to the Panthers. "

Dion, Vuc said that "2 players that will eventually commit to the Panthers. " Where did you get "He said both will be committing within the next week or 2" from? Did I miss that somewhere, or are you just seriously bad at reading comprehension?

Keep in mind it may not have been the players who told him. It could be a HS coach, a Pity coach, a friend of the players, etc.

I don't have a clue on Recruiting but just looking at the rankings and Numbers, and I think Pitt will end up in the Top 30! If they get another 3 to 4 Four Star Recruits and a few Three Star, could break Top 20-25!

Current Rankings:
Rivals:
19 PSU
36 PITT (7th ACC)
39 WVU!

per Mike Vukovcan. Here is his article from yesterday. You would like to think they are both local kids if they confided in him.

Hamlin & Mattews ????

***Pitt’s Class of 2016 stands at 19 tonight but it’s really at 21. I’m saying that because tonight I’ve learned of 2 players that will eventually commit to the Panthers. Since these 2 players don’t want it announced yet, I agreed to not post anything until they give me permission to do so. A big part of this business is to earn trust with players and coaches. One way to do that is to “sit” on info for a bit when they ask you to do so.
Bullshit!

You forgot

6.
TD and LionLewis28 saying the signee wasn't pen state material/grades/ship pulled/sanctions/franklin seeing their gf wasn't hot enough

When the High School All American All Star Teams Games and what Pitt Recruits Prospects are playing in them, isn't that when many recruits they make their choices!!! I don't know just asking to those that follow Recruiting???

This team needs linebackers more than anything else. If we sign 0 of Hudson and Pine, that will be a travesty. Plus, Pugh is probably going to have to prep.

Not always, cap. I guess it all depends on the drama factor, as in "I'm going to play it to the wire" and get as much notoriety as possible.

if a kid goes to prep school does he still sign his letter of intent or is there no obligation? Sorry my boss always says there is no such thing as a stupid question and I obviously don't know the answer. Thx

Where is Pine going? To much New Years bubbly or I'm 35 and to old for this shit!

I would put money on Hudson not coming to Pitt and like I said, I think Pine is a better option

Pugh will sign an LOI and Pitt will do everything in their power to get him eligible. But if he does not qualify by a certain date in Aug/Sep, he will have to go to prep school (or JUCO but thats not likely). At that point, the LOI is null and void and he becomes a recruitable athlete again.

So has enough time passed to chalk this up as yet another erroneous Vuk prediction or do we just forget about it and wait for his next mistake?

I have no idea if his information will turn out to be accurate, but in fairness, I think he said it would be a week or so when he tweeted it the middle of last week.

Lighten up Francis.... Mike is one of the few Pitt friendly voices in the Pittsburgh media. We should be grateful, instead of needling him in the typical self loathing yinzer fashion...
LOL, who is upset, im just asking a question. Grateful? grateful for what? throwing out incorrect tweets on twitter? Hell, I can do that

You were being a pompous smartass. In fairness he has also provided FREE and accurate information as well as interviews with some of the recruits. So keep the sarcasm Elroy...

No such things as a "silent commit" how many times are we going to get fooled by this crap. Guess what? I know who the OC is going to be, sorry I can't tell you, a little "birdy" told me.

You have it wrong. You do not know who the new OC will be! I am the one who knows who it is and I am not telling you.

I think he said two weeks.

Around the weekend of the 15th I thought he said.

I am hearing Hudson to Michigan. Not sure who is directing these kids, but they are doing a piss poor job. Because you can whip on Connelsville and Avella does not mean you can play for Bama or Ohio State. Come to Pitt, play as a freshman (if your such bad shit), then go pro. The path has been lauded here several times already. None of these kids are going to go to Bama or OSu and play first, second or possibly third year.

Don't forget decommit
Stages of recruiting:

  1. Silent
  2. Silent Verbal
  3. Verbal
  4. Strong Verbal
  5. Signed
___________________________________________________________________________
Don't forget what a bul-sh-t process that is.
Why not make it simple.
When you verbally commit you sign a LOI immediately or keep your mouth shut until you're man enough to make a decision that you'll stick with!

My guess is that neither of the two silent verbals are listed in this thread. The ones that know do know this and that is what makes it funny. That's the great thing about silent verbals....they drive us all nuts. What about those leaving? We have a lot of room on the roster and my guess is that we will be taking more than 25.
