20 years since last season at PITT Stadium

[Demolition Man]

Hard to believe PITT Stadium has been gone for 20 years. As a child, I was there for my first game against Tulane in 1973. Then my dad got season tickets starting in 1977.

A lot of good memories (Notre Dame 1999 and my student years in the 80s) along with bad ones (48-14 and Majors II).

I also remember Jackie Sherrill suiting up there for a spring football game. Can you imagine Pat Narduzzi or Todd Graham doing that today? Fun times in that place.

What were some of your favorite memories at PITT Stadium?

 

[Ghost of Pitt Stadium]

The day Pitt put my Spirit in a wooden box. They released me at Heinz but after seeing those yellow seats, I headed back to Oakland and have been haunting the old grounds ever since.

The day we tore that f'er down. What a night. What fun.

This was the day that it was announced that Purdue had upset Michigan. The buzz in Pitt Stadium after that was electric, Pitt will soon be voted the #1 team in college football!

This is the game that Tony Dorsett ran for an unbelievable 303 yards against mighty Notre Dame, by far my fondest memory in Pitt Stadium!

PITT - MIAMI 1997 was a great game also. No one expected PITT to win that game.
